Great game and I love the green jerseys, can we keep them?

San Jose was playing a lot more than two regulars. Who wrote this? At least do a little research
I got my green jersey | 8:27 a.m. May 1, 2008
You can buy them if you call RSL FO and ask nicely.

Probably someone who cares as much about soccer as the rest of us. Go away Real and pay for your stadium by yourselves.

It's true, they probably had about as many regulars out there as we did. Good job though James, I love the coverage.
Re: ? | 9:03 a.m. May 1, 2008
Dude, never in the story did it say they were only playing two regulars. At least do a little reading.

Dude how do you interpret this.... "Only Ryan Cochrane and Ramiro Corrales had seen much playing time for the expansion Earthquakes this year"

Dude, read this, "Only Ryan Cochrane and Ramiro Corrales had seen much playing time for the expansion Earthquakes this year..."
Anyways when I posted the comment I hadn't noticed Edwards wrote the article. I love his work, he just lost me on that fun fact.

I busted Franky's chops a bit, and suggested they rename the team the Headaches. I think it really made him mad.

Keep the green, looks classy and hey we got a 4-0 win in em, maybe appreciating the earth brings good luck to the team.
To the one guy that bashed the stadium and soccer again for like the millionth time this year... Do you have a life outside hating soccer and reliving the days of 1975 high school? If coach would have put you in you would have one state, yeah yeah we all know.
Get a life, go bash the blaze, they cant even get a win

Superior? | 1:58 p.m. May 1, 2008
Superior depth? It does not seem as though superior should be used to describe any aspect of this organization.
Green Jersey? | 2:01 p.m. May 1, 2008
Anybody know where i can get one and how much they are?
That was a very nice looking kit they had on last night, should make it our third after our home and away jerseys

Anybody else think he should get a shot this weekend against LA?
He played fantatstic last night. yeah it was San Jose, and there wasnt much in the game, but thats what makes it even more impressive to me.
He had compossure through the whole game and made some amazing saves in the second half.
I really dont get why he is on the bench when he is probably the next US number 1 goalie.
Come on jason, see that this kid has got loads of talent, and will be in europe in a couple years so get the best out of him while ya can.
No disrespect to Rimando, but last weeks 4-1 beating was pretty bad. Yeah he shouldnt be expected to stop two penalties, but the other two he could have, especially the voley. why is that ball floating across his 6?

You can pick on up at the RSL FO, if they have any left. I bought a short-sleeve one yesterday, for $45. They didn't have a lot left when I was there.
Re: Superior? | 3:13 p.m. May 1, 2008
Are you simple? Final score: 4-0 => RSL's depth is superior to San Jose's. QED.

I tried to become a fan, but my prediction; Real is one of the worst teams in the league. . .again. Also, there is more than one person that thinks the stadium deal stinks.
Great game | 8:28 p.m. May 1, 2008
Loved the game! The team looked very energetic! Seitz made some outstanding saves, but Rimando has been excellent overall. Which keeper to start is a good problem to have. Hope they remain this hungry for LA. GO RSL!

And there is more than 1 peson that thinks that an RSL match is a very entertaining and worthwhile event. Especially in the new stadium.
Not sure what you mean when you say you "tried to become a fan"....I would suggest "trying" again.

To "tired of soccer" and "who wrote this", I think it stinks that I have to pay for the zoo, parks, amphitheaters, museums, and libraries but you don't see me complaining every time something is written about the arts or books or animals.
Seriously, is our community filled with that many naive people that they don't realize what taxes are for? Building infrastructure for a stadium and surrounding playing fields contributes as much to the public welfare as any of these art projects that collectively use millions of dollars on a yearly basis to operate.

Well put Rslfans.com.
You might argue that stadiums built for sports are used more than some of the other govt. sponsored venues in salt lake as well.
I just hope that we can keep winning games and let the haters get over themselves and get back to rooting for their team instead of bashing on RSL.
Hope our offense is clicking on saturday!

Why RSL haters hate RSL | 4:04 p.m. May 2, 2008
Because RSL legally stole tax revenue from all of us. They could win a million games, and that wouldn't change a thing. Here is a better alternative than building a pork stadium that would really put Salt Lake on the map: use the money to fund more public transportation.
Anonymous | 1:22 a.m. May 3, 2008
So, if it was legal, then what was the problem? It's being built. Get over it! Things do exist beyond this salt lake valley Do some international travel and learn what this sport really means to the rest of the world.
