I find it hard to believe that someone could talk so obsequiously about the woman who said in a videotaped deposition, "Sue? It's what we do." As bishop of Nevada, she was responsible for shrinking the diocese by 10% in the fastest growing state in the union. One has to actively drive people away, which is what she did in Nevada and is what she is doing on a National level. (Carol Tanner-Irish is similarly actively shrinking a diocese in a time of population boom, membership in Utah dropping by 21% in the past five years!) We have expensive, prominent lawsuits now in Virginia, Georgia, Ohio, New York, and now San Joaquin, California. Why didn't you ask the PB about these issues? St Paul, whose cathedral you so admire, said of those who engage in lawsuits have already been completely defeated.

To robroy,

From the sound of your comment, I would say that the god you see has horns! Your comment has nothing to do with the article!

Have you ever seen God in the Spring time? I do every Spring when the pink tullips and the pink azelias in front of my house bloom at the same time. I see Him in the Summer through the laughter of children playing in the park; and when I see a mother pushing a child stroller down the street. I see Him in the Fall when all creatures are going to rest/sleep for the Winter; it makes ponder a little of what (or who) makes them respond in such an amazing order---now it its time . And yes, I see him in the Winter after a great snow fall that reminded me how he washed my sins away and make them as white as snow. Yes I see Him all the time.
"The God I see is the God I know"!!

Charlotte,

I see god in the springtime - coming up as grass and coming out as blossoms on my trees.

Then I get out my weed wacker and wack the grass, and I cut the new branches back, and I get out the poisons and spray the blossoms to kill off some of the blossoms so they don't get too thick.

Does that mean I am wacking and poisoning and killing God?

Oops!

I would just like to thank Jerry for reminding us to open our eyes and to see with our hearts. Thank you.

The heart can be so deluded and deceived that it sees whatever it WANTS to see. In a nutshell, Jerry, you have admitted that religion is just wishful thinking.

Way to go, Jerry!
