Reid's votes in the Senate support gay marriage, why should the FLDS alternative lifestyle bother him?

It can't be because of abuses to kids, because his votes have also supported abortion rights, which destroy children before they even have a chance to be born.

It seems from his votes that his standing within the Democratic party is more important to him than standing for what is right.

What bothers me is that anything that hits the national headlines is suddenly a federal issue. It's as if congresscritters think that only they can handle these weighty issues. It looks to me like just one more grab at power over local control.

I think with Obama and Hillary and Pelosi grabbing all the headlines, Humble Harry hadn't seen his name enough recently.

I'm glad Sen Reid is bringing some OUTSIDE attention to this situation. Maybe people outside the macho "Don't mess with Texas" obsessed culture that promotes the notion that, "The Constitution is just a piece of paper", can bring some balance to the approach taken here.

Have they ever considered mandating family counseling for these people? Or mandating some family supervision by professionals? Noooo, the only solution is to go in with guns and tanks and take EVERY child away from his family.

How do you go from 4 years of doing NOTHING to help these children strieght to "TAKE'M ALL and never let their parents see them again"?

Had Texas CPS EVER tried to interven to help the kids in the past 4 years? They had an informant feeding them "Good" information the whole time! And now almost overnight (based on a hoax call)suddenly they decide to go strieght to the "Nuclear Option"?

Harry Reid is right on the money. Good for him. He knows more about what is going on than any of you "armchair quarterbacks" who sit and make ignorant criticisms of the Judge and Texas government.

Harry Reid is a man of integrity and has represented my state very well for many years. He has an intelligent grasp of the complexity of issues, and has a humanitarian sense of values that he brings to the table. Great job, Harry!
