I spent some time in Michigan and will tell you that football is bigggggg in that state with Michigan leading the pack. Their starting with a new coach but seem to be solid at most position and running back is best. Please Utah, take this game as ifyourseason depended on it because it may. These boys come ready to hurt someone, but they can be beaten. I'M a BYU faithful but this is still going to be a great test. Good Luck

So, for the second year in a row, Marquis gets to miss spring ball, and Coach Whit actually thinks that it's punishment.
At what point does your discipline just become a joke? The first suspension should be a warning. The second big problem should lead to an expulsion from the team.
The player is a cancer - and with the WRs on this team, Utah doesn't need him. So, Whit - save some credibility and respect by not putting him back on the team while your other players busted their butts in spring.

Gee thanks for the comment Woody. Utah already knows about Ann Arbor. They lost 10-7 a few years back with a team that had no offense whatsoever. Thanks for the horror story, but I think our little kids will be just fine...

The mighty Michigan Wolverines didn't fare too well against BYU in 1986. Cougarites keep reminding us. But Big Ten FB with its 11 teams plays rough, I agree.

This is not the way the Red-White game used to be. A real football game. Why even have spring practice if there is no competition? This is the time to see who can make the squad against first-string players, who need to defend their turf. Get a life Whittingham. Stop trying to preserve your job.

I agree about the game, a total waste of time. If we could only get 4,000 to attend this year thinking it was going to be a game like others in past springs, how many will show up to the future patty cake games. Why have the game in the future if this is the precedence that is set. I personally feel the 4,000 was way too optimistic of a count.

"Cougarites" need to keep reminding you because it was 1984 not 1986!
