And right in line with the drivel the Deseret News survives on.

Reading this from afar I just wanted to say I really enjoyed it. Good news and fun to see those in the golden years enjoying such a simple yet memorable opportunity. (And I'm still a young adult!) Thank you Deseret News for reporting.

Isn't it wonderful that these Seniors get out there and sing and participate instead of sitting around wasting away. They are my Idols!!

Elaine Jarvik has a way with words. She's also a National Award winning playwright, specializing in 1 act plays featuring Senior everyday situations. I'm proud to have her author this Senior Idol story.

Apparently comment contributor who dubbed SI story drivel doesn't comprehend the pertinence of the word SNARK regarding his or her comment.

This is by far more exciting and talent-filled than
this current election, without all the drama and snarky comments! Maybe I still have a shot at showbiz after MY retirement. GO MOM!! You've got my vote.

I invited 3 senior friends to join me in attending "senior Idol". We really enjoyed the event and were impressed by those who had the guts to perform, had kept up with their singing talents that had obviously been used alot in their younger years, and really showed they enjoyed performing and making people smile! What a change from other seniors I know who grumble and rarely participate in activities. And then there are the other seniors who would like to participate more than they do but their health really limits them. These are the ones who enjoy cheering on these Senior performers!!
