I think David did an awesome job. Brooke, however, did not impress me.

This review has it way off. There is no way that either of the LDS singers is going home (or even be in the bottom three). Based on the performances last night.

David did very well, with great reviews from the judges. Brook wasn't as strong, just mediocre, but still didn't embarrass. Her song choice wasn't as good, but still she sang it well.

Neither of these kids was panned by the judges thou there were several of the others who were. Paula even nailed one of them. David was excellent and Brooke was more than adequate. Randy was even more hard on most of the singers last night than was Simon. While it may not have been (according to Simon)David's best vocal, it was clear that it was better than most -- and he did connect with the audience if you were watching the same show I was. WhenJason ws singing everyone sat on their hands. With David they were swaying to the beat, such as it was.

I'm really surprised at this article. True, Brooke seemed apologetic, and David seemed quiet after their performances, but they both did a good job, and the judges agreed.

I think Brooke would have truly shone if she had been at the piano by herself like David. She has a wonderful ability to touch hearts -- they both do!

Keep shining!

So, Jenny, which show were you watching? I was watching AI on Fox, not sure what channel you were on. Google David Archuleta and read the rave reviews from newspapers all over the country regarding David. You must have been in a sour mood (note) last night. Hope you are feeling better.

I was hoping one of them would do "dont fear the reaper". You know the Blue oyster cult song.

Yup, both were forgettable performances with only one great song sung by the gal. Whoever is choosing the lad's songs ought to be confined to the basement of the HFAC for 90 days and forced to listen to the music being recommended for the lad.
Time for both to hit one out of the ball park or they will be relegated to the dust bin labeled "also ran."

I'm surprised that this article says David didn't do well. He had rave reviews from the judges, one of whom said it was the best performance of the night. I personally didn't like his song that much, though. I thought Brooke's performance was very good.

Tonight I watched the cardinals play baseball, Albert Pujol's had two home runs. He has not had any the eight prior games, but that doesn't mean he is not one of the best. David is one of the best, did he hit it out of the park, no, he has before and we know what that is like, did he get a triple, yes he did. Before last night, David Cook was soaring without many flaws, but he flawed last night, so does that make Cook bad, not at all, he had a bad night. I think that Brooke has had a couple of good songs, but she has had more so-so songs than David A and Cook. I think that Jason has had some good ones, but all reality is that the two Dave's will be the final two. I believe that there is a career for both David's, Jason, Brooke and probably Carley and Michael. But I love the uniqueness of both David's, Jason and Brooke, three of them have very distinctive voices, that is nice.

What are you talking about?? David did great and the judges loved him!
Angels | 12:43 a.m. April 10, 2008
I was hoping David would sing "Angels". I had already seen it on youtube at a youth conference performance...(he is wearing white suspenders and a white tie in this one). I think that I like that performance better because he was standing up and kind of dancing...and it seemed to bring more emotion to the performance. BUT...I have to say, he did an excellent job on the piano and I have always thought that people who play while they sing are multi-talented. It's hard to do that! David is sailing, people love him.

I think that Brooke is struggling, but she'll stay on for a while.

What a waste of time!!!!

The entertainment most of the world is hooked on is either garbage or a waste of time.

Wake up...

I was disapointed with Brooke's performance. She could have chosen a better song from Carol King than the one she chose.David was great.

Tonight will be a test of Carmen Rasmussen's theory which was in an article written by her last week and based on her experience on the show.

Basically, that whoever sings first is just about guaranteed to be in the bottom three (as Brooke was last week) and the last singer is almost guaranteed to move one (as Brooke is this week).

Therefore, Michael is a shoo-in for the bottom three (because he sang first), and Brooke will be safe this week (because she sang last).

Tune in tonight for the results, and good luck to all the singers. I think they're all terrific.

David A. is an awesome talent. He has consistently picked poor songs the last several weeks. I think "Imagine" was his last homerun. He'll be safe however. David C. finally had a bad night which is good for everyone else. Also Carly had a bad night. I hate to see David A. or Brooke win because I don't really think they want that lifestyle. I'm NOT voting for them. I think David C. and Carly both want it badly. I thought Kristy was good last night. I think the bottom four this week are Syesha (who has consistently failed to connect with the audience), Jason (who is as cute as can be), and sadly Carly and Brooke. I think any of those four will go home tonight.
Rich | 1:58 p.m. April 10, 2008
I think the best singers are David A., Carly, Brooke, Michael and David C. in that order. The best looking people are Kristy, Syesha, David A., Michael and Jason. David A. and Michael are on both those lists and will, therefore, probably move on. Overall I think David Archuleta stands the best chance of winning the whole thing though I think it's possible for two or three of the others, including David Cook though I personally don't care for his singing style.
