This should but will probably not put an end to the never ending whinning by BYU that they are a "northern" team that cannot compete due to all that supposedly means. Thank you Beavers for spanking BYU. The Beavers do not whine about being a "northern" team. They just go out and compete. They win National Championships. BYU Baseball should take note.

Take it easy Cougar/Beaver. Nobody in Cougartown is whining about not being an upper echelon team. In fact, five years ago the Beavers weren't an upper echelon team. They are in a different class than BYU and it's mainly due to excellent pitching. The hitting and defense was comparable on both sides. OSU's hitting is slightly better because they clutched up more and produced with RISP. McNaughton and Walton could get playing time at OSU but it's nice they came to Provo. Steve Parker is a great player too. He hit great in the second game but if he had made one more play in the fourth inning with two outs, then OSU wouldn't have scored 4-5 two out runs. I don't blame Parker though. Pitching has to come through and they didn't. The COOOGS will have to win the MWC tourney as usual. This is their year!
