It seems to me that you've missed a step. The next step for candidates is to get delegates to support them in those party conventions and that happens next week on March 25th. Any candidate who overlooks the importance of caucuses is doomed to lose. And any citizen who fails to attend the caucus is doomed to having the status quo in November.

Utah Libertarians nominate candidates in convention, where "None of the Above" is always an option, and do not waste voters' time with neighborhood caucuses.

Utah Libertarians also settle intraparty contests at convention, thus sparing taxpayers the cost of conducting a primary election.
