Who listens to radio anyway | 1:29 p.m. March 28, 2008
I didn't even know until today that Mister West was gone. So I looked it up and found this story. Morning shows are unbearable! All DJ's have ego's and they're usually not funny....oh wait, haning up on someone while they're on the air is funny. If Chunga wants to be an actor, fine...but SHUT UP about it. Let me know when you do more than read for a voice part on CARS. Mister was a decent straight man but not ever funny. The ONE time I laughed at Chunga was when he ripped on Kerry Jackson for his crackling girl voice and Gina B. for her man voice. Parker's ego might even be bigger than Chunga's...He talks about his old NY job and when he told his EX that he was making over 100k cause she was shallow. His show also made fun of mentally retarded kids and I found it ironic that Harmon's had an ad running the same day talking about helping "Downs Syndrome" kids. Not very smart Parker...but hey, we're just the dumb listeners. We'll keep coming back, or will we? If I want comedy, I'll get it from iTunes, not radio.
Jerks! | 1:25 a.m. April 21, 2008
Whoever the blame lies on, whether it's Chunga or Citadel, they're jerks for getting rid of Mister. I hadn't been listening to the morning show for a couple of months and so it wasn't until early March that I noticed that Mister was gone - I was shocked! And then, I couldn't figure out why they wouldn't answer my e-mails asking about him. Goes to show... they're ashamed and don't want to acknowledge that something so negative is their fault. The End used to be my favorite station, but it's going to the crapper. Fast.
I sometimes like Chunga... | 11:03 a.m. May 3, 2008
But get tired of he and the station only talking about Hollywood gossip, his acting career, etc., etc. Chunga is a total wannabe drama geek and Mister West balanced that out somewhat with his knowledge of news and sports.

I can only take Chunga now in small doses and am apalled by what apparently went down at that station (doesn't matter if it was management or Chunga, it was a huge mistake). Hey Chunga, most of your traditional listeners don't care about Hollywood and your acting career as much as you think. Many of us would like to know you understand or care about local events, sports, the JAZZ. Hell, you don't even know anything about the biggest ticket in town, the Utah Jazz. I tune you out regularly now as you have always tried to ignore Mister or Cort whenever they discuss the previous nights Jazz, Utes, or Cougar games.

Your ego is out of whack and your act is growing tired. I think you should go join the staff of the National Enquirer or the like as the audience that reads that crap is more suited to your interests and skill set.

I remember the day Mister..... | 6:45 a.m. June 6, 2008
disappeared; there one day, gone the next. And of course there was no real explanation for the listeners (its not like we invested our time getting to know a great morning show)... or what used to be great.

Mister was much funnier than Chunga... probably because he is much less conceited. All Chunga ever talked about was his acting career (what acting career.. how could anyone take him seriously as an actor?) Well at least we now know the real story; Chunga put his acting career on hold because more money was thrown at him... and all the while stabbing Mister in the back. Chunga's true colors shine through.

I never even listen to the show anymore.. and don't ever miss it. The morning show has gone down hill big time, and the afternoon guy is horrible. KENZ is now utterly forgettable.
Former Intern | 7:54 p.m. June 25, 2008
I thought I would leave my two cents. I was a former intern for citadel broadcasting. Every morning "Mister West" would greet me, while Brett Smith would stare. It was one of those uncomfortable stares. I did hear from a couple of people who are still working at the broadcasting booth that Brett Smith did have a say in his departure. I will miss listening to Mister West. By the way Brett Smith has a particular writing style and I believe one of these bloggers is him. Can anyone guess? hehehe.
Missin' Mister Still | 11:15 a.m. June 27, 2008
Here's a quick shout out to Mister West, you are still missed. I was a faithful daily listener to 107.5/101.9 for over 12 years. My first reaction when Mister was gone was that Chunga had betrayed his long time "friend" for more money. I sent an email to Chunga asking him if the additional money was worth it, and I haven't listened since. I filled out an Arbitron survey just before 107.5 was rated number one several years ago, and I felt partially responsible since I only listened to 107.5. I had another survey last month and I felt the need to list X96 exclusively even though I only listen to my Itunes now. This was due to my continued bitterness towards Chunga. Here's hoping that Chunga just moves to Anaheim so he can go to Disneyland everyday.

I know how negotiations go and I would say it was more chunga naming his price to stay and they indicated they could not keep mister if they met the demand. Chunga most likely said you know what it will take so you descide what you have to but that is what my price is. I have seen his movies and without coattails he won't have work for long. He is a tool and the demographics that listen to the show were misters personality type. conservitive but enjoy a little edge. they have lost my advertising and I know funding has been pulled on a few of chungas projects as a result. that I know first hand.
