While President Hinckley supported and helped President Kimball and President Benson he was very content to be in the background. He was such a great support for them and didn't want to upstage them. It wasn't until he was ordained President of the church that I realized that he had such a strong, vibrant personality. How could we ever thank him enough for who he is and the influence he has been in our lives? Thank you President Hinckley. Thank you President Monson and President Eyre and President Hinckley's children for being the support that President Hinckley needed. We love you all.

Tears flooded my eyes when I received the news of President Hinckley's passing. Through my journey being a member of the church, I've looked to the prophet for his example of enthusiasm and steadfastness. His compassion, honesty and humor will be missed.
