Three and a Half-blooded Stars | 12:10 p.m. July 22, 2009
I seriously believe that there are those who go out to the movie expecting to see a page by page adaptation of the book. Audiences should be reminded that although the first two Harry Potter films are among the least favorite of the movie adaptations, they are also the most faithful to their corresponging books. Films simply need to make changes to better suit the major themes of the story. Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince was more true to the source material than I had anticipated.

The Potter movies are good fun. Don't try to be such a book nerd and forget to have fun at the movies. If you're THAT loyal to the book then don't see the movies! WOW, how hard was that. ;)

Alas, I am married to a Harry Potter freak and doomed to sit through this drivel!

"Harry Potter & The Half-Wasted Movie". No funeral for the 2nd most important character in the book series? Really? A complete miss. How did they make that decision?

There always had to be at least one lame brain who mentions mormons even when the story is not remotely related. I wonder if there is some kind of emotional disorder that this behavior can be tied too?

Then there are those "lame-brains" who are *constantly* feeling “persecuted" I wonder if that is an emotional disorder?

I've been reading some of these comments and find them all rather interesting, first To Marie Devine(Sp?) Really? Harry Potter is not Evil, the book has good virtues to it, also if you don't want to see a movie based on religious factors then don't, but leave your own thoughts to yourself, also to the person who talked about snakes on a plane, and satan being a snake, well satan does not always take the form of a snake, he can take the form of anything evil, snakes in some cultures are very good, even recognized as gods or powerful beings. Sure, don't go see the movie, but really, not seeing it because you don't want to see a whole bunch of "Satans" on a plane? That sounds psychiotic. If anything don't go see it for it's rated content, not because you don't want to see "Satans" on a plane. Now back to the subject of H.P. and T.H-B P. I loved it, really well done, I'm sad they had to leave so much out, but I think, like usual that they did really well. -L.S.
