Hang in there lads. It's noble cause.

It should come as no surprise that American and British casualties have increased in Afghanistan. The Russians attempted to subdue Afghanistan and failed. Now that Obama has committed a renewed effort to attack terrorism after Bush focused on Iraq, the question will be whether or not this new effort will fail like the Russians or get bogged down like Bush and his efforts to bring democracy to Iraq.

Unlike Bush, the military effort now underway is balanced between an offensive against the Taliban and the development of security of civilian residents of Afghanistan. Whether or not this new balanced approach will result in any different outcome remains unclear. But casualities will increase the the question will be whether or not the increase will be sustained or eventual turn around, like Americans waiting for the unemployment rate in America to turn around which has been projected for the past six months to peak around 10% later this year or beginning of next year. Time will tell as well as the public support of both Obama's Afgan campaign and the Economic Stimulus.

we will have to fight wars like we used to; To win!
Now we just send in men to 'street fight', no matter that we have devistating weapons that can be fired from ships or aircraft. Lets send in the boys and fight a PC war insted. This will change at somepoint in the future as our leaders weaken our defences and set up evil regimes that are emboldened to take us on.
