Obama Ban public schooling. Start HOME Schooling. Bush has made education a central theme of his presidential campaign, as if he were indeed running for national superintendent of schools. He's got a federal reform plan that will finally fix public schools all across America, after 100 years of admitted failure. What Bush and so many other conservatives don't want to recognize is that public schooling has failed not for lack of the right reform but simply because it is inherently defective. It is impossible to find a better example of socialistic central planning than public schooling. A central board of elected or appointed commissars, whether at a national, state, or local level, plans, in a top-down fashion, the educational decisions of thousands or hundreds of thousands of children. Attendance is coerced. People are forced to fund the system through taxation. Students are required to listen to state-approved doctrine from state-approved schoolteachers using state-approved textbooks.
Pain of infidelity | 2:03 p.m. July 15, 2009
As the article says, "It's a huge betrayal when there is infidelity. The pain must be indescribable. ..."

I always think of what poor Emma Smith must have felt with her husband's womanizing ways, not to mention their children.

forgive then divorce | 2:17 p.m. July 15, 2009
Yes forgive or at least leave it in the Lords hands but trying to patch up a marriage after adultery is impossible. Better to divorce and move on with a frewsh start. There can never be trust, closeness or intimacy again between husband and wife and without those components the marriage is doomed. The Gov's wife is entitled to substantial monetary compensation because of her husbands adultery but beyond that it would be better if she flushed him down the drain and moved on as hurtful and hard as that is. I think couples want to try and keep the marriage going for the kids sake or maybe because of age or because the wife has no education but I think statistics show that marriages after adultery seldom if ever work because the trust and closeness is gone for ever.
