RSL has plenty of fans in SLC. That place ought to be filled with hometown supporters.

GO RSL!

I'm not gonna lie, I love RSL but I have 0% interest in seeing a Mexican league team. We practically saw that the last game. Ie. one team falling down about every 5 minutes. Going down anytime someone touches you and act like it ends your career to try and draw a card on them, then making a miraculous recovery seconds later. No thank you. That is not soccer. We already saw SJ and we'll see Chivas later, that's bad enough.
So excited | 9:50 a.m. July 10, 2009
I can't wait for the 'Friendly'. I along with tens of fans look forward to watching them play to a 1-1 tie.

WOW... that is exciting.

Why can we have friendly games with European teams? Any game against a EPL, La Liga or Serie A team is more interesting. All the teams in the East Coast get summer games against the best teams in Europe. We get Costa Rica, Mexican teams.

"Why can['t] we have friendly games with European teams?"

A few answers:

- European teams have higher appearance fees. It's pointless if RSL lose money in the deal.

- European teams prefer playing East Coast/large market teams because they get more name recognition and reach a larger audience.

- The higher number of Mexicans/Central Americans in the intermountain west means much more local interest in seeing a Mexican/Central American team than on the East Coast.

- We DO get European teams here: Real Madrid, Everton, Everton (again, in the all-star game). Not bad for only having a team here for five years.
Great rivals | 11:34 a.m. July 10, 2009
Mexican teams make great rivals for MLS teams. Pachuca and Houston have a great rivalry now. Mexican league teams think they are superior to MLS teams. Every time we beat them they hate it. (They are actually better, but the gap is closing). As MLS grows and improves the rivalry between the two leagues will get bigger and bigger. It's awesome!
