the unions (along with stupid management decisions) forced these companies into bankruptcy and the courts decided the unions would now be the majority owners. if the turn-around plans don't work, are the dealers expecting the same treatment the unions got in another round of BK and they will be majority owners next time? sorry guys, there's a good chance these will be chapter 18 bankruptcies - you know, starts as an 11 and goes to a 7.

the dealers are in a no win situation, the court rules against them and they lose their affiliation and go out of business, the court rules for them and the manufacturers fail completely and the dealers go out of business. I guess it's old saying, misery loves company, they want to drag as many people down with them as they can.
