Hogwarts 101: A primer for the 6th Harry Potter film

Overall, a good guide. Those unfamiliar with the books and movies will likely find it helpful.

As a fan of the serious, however, I want to point out that at the beginning of the 6th movie only two months have passed since the events of the 5th, not a year. They had summer vacation between their 5th and 6th year of school. Second, Harry wasn't asked to play in the Quidditch World Cup.

This Harry Potter cult fan base is creepy. Not even the Trekkies or Dr.Who fans combined come close to how nerdy and weird these people are.

Oh, give it a rest. Most of us are just trying to keep up with our kids, 99% of which don't buy anything but the books.

I just hope I live long enough to see the final movie...I'm getting on in years you know.

I am in my 60's and I love Harry Potter.

I went to Korea in 2000 with the first Harry Potter book. Every kid in the class I was teaching had it in Korean.

Great fun stories.

This makes perfect sense in the books but its kind of hard to believe on screen. Poor Rupert Grint.

Um...Harry Potter didn't compete in the World Quidditch Cup...He attended it with Ron's family.

I cant wait till they make the post final film. "Harry Potter and the boomerang generation" where Harry and Ron return home from school and live with their parents for five years.

Cool your jets, Nerdfest! I love Harry Potter, Star Trek, AND Doctor Who. Yes, I can be a bit nerdy, and a bit weird. But some of the most amazing people I know were weird and nerdy. Nothing wrong with that.

A good guide for the average person, but for even the average fan, this stuff is all very old news.

I don't think it's nerdy to point out that Harry didn't compete in the World Cup, it's something that anyone could point out, really. It's not an anvil-sized mistake, nor is it serious. It's average-sized and gave me (not to mention a lot of people, nerd or not) a good laugh.

On the other hand, I AM a freakish nerd about Harry Potter. I could start pointing out so many things that could be fixed in here, but I won't. Because that's when I start to scare people. :)

I wonder if Harry Potter fans are waving their wands and casting spells on me for making fun of them.
This is why I hate Harry Potter. I cannot believe how weird these people really are.

Learn to read... It states in the article that Harry Potter watchted the World Cup and was chosen to compete in the Triwizard Tournament.
