House Dems look at taxing the rich for health care

Hey,
I think you want more services for less taxes. The tax system is based upon income. If you think that the low income people pay too little taxes then educate them so they can pay more with a higher paying job.
If that were to happen then you would probably have to pay more taxes and really pay a teacher instead of what they make in this state.
When you pay a teacher, a fireman or a police officer then you are participating in "all this socialism", you toss that word around like it was leprosy.
This is a Christian nation and we pay for what we have. A student goes to school and leaves the area, people drive on our roads who never paid for them and it sounds like you would rather incarcerate them than share.
Sounds like the almighty dollar is your king. Sad to say I too am a Republican but am sincerely tired of thoughtless rhetoric spewed by people like you trying to put others and their ideas down rather than acknowledging a problem exists and trying to do something about it.
You say "we should" educate the low-income earner. Why don't they educate themselves, like so many hard-working Americans have done? Seems like the ones who kill themselves to do something with themselves (and by the way a Doctor also contributes to society) are expected to then work even harder to take care of the masses who won't lift a finger to better themselves, but have plenty of bad things to say about people who do.
Tell any Muslim, Jew, Buddahist American that we are a Christian nation and see how they respond.
Lets see, considering that there are less than 130 million who pay taxes, EVERY tax payer will pay $4,615 dollars each year above and beyond his / her current tax bill. (thats $384/month).
And you will go to jail at the point of a gun if you don't choke up your 4,615 dollars a year in additional forced "charity".
Hope your family can do without 4,615 dollars a year.
There are a lot of 2 income homes where 1 income is borderline cost effective to keep the job after commuting costs, child care costs, dress code compliance costs, etc.
If taxes go up even a little bit, then many of these borderline workers will simply stay home. It will become less expensive to stay home and not pay the new and additional taxes. They can then keep the child care/commuting expenses, etc, and come out ahead of where they would be if the kept the job, and paid additional taxes.
Overall tax revenue will then fall substantially!
Meanwhile 50 million people who obey the law do not have it.
Hello. Insanity is doing the same thing day after day expecting different results.
Private sector has failed so lets try the government sector.
Start the Love.

Why should other people hypothetically pay for my healthcare?
Not surprising though--the lazy loafing democrats are always looking for someone else to pay for their "great ideas".
Way too few people in this country pay tax. Almost everyone should pay some so they have some "skin in the game".
As it stands now though we are literally giving lower income people tax rebates despite the fact they are not even paying federal income taxes.
The democrats now have so few people paying taxes that all this socialism sounds nothing but good to them.
They think "hey, I already don't pay any tax and now I get someone who has worked hard to earn more money than me to pay for my healtcare? SWEET!!"
Such is the life of a leeching, loafing, parasitic democrat!!
