This one is all over the map! The writer calls out the banks and Federal Reserve, attacks big banks, then wants poorly run institutions to go out of business. He then implies we live in a fascist state and "Congress fiddles as our financial structures burn." When you get to the root of it, this is nutty stuff and logically inconsistent. If he wants unfettered capitalism, having big banks swallow up smaller ones goes with the territory. What does he want, capitalism or regulation? Then accusing Congress of fiddling implies he wants government intervention, but if you put it that way, would he say no to Congressional action? By the way, Congress has been acting, which is criticized by the financial services industry. What do you want, Bruce?

What would the letter | 7:39 a.m. July 9, 2009
writer have done? It seems that we let companies like AIG diversify so much that they really can't fail, If AIG fails, it probably directly effects your buisness.

hello! | 8:31 a.m. July 9, 2009
the writer is all over the place but their first point is a good one why is Hatch (and the rest of us for that matter) more focused on silly fights like the BCS and not more focused on issues like the economy, global instability, genocide (the genocide in Sudan has not ended people)

Hypocrisy | 10:49 a.m. July 9, 2009
I think the author's main point is right on.

Hatch continues to "distract" us with his pointless attacks on the BCS(it's not going to change until the BCS conferences want to change).

Meanwhile, other issues, like the economy, health care, etc go unnoticed.

Seems to me that the economy, health care, etc have gotten plenty of notice.

Why not give the BCS 15 minutes of consideration as a break from real problems?
