I do recall utah barely beat TCU after TCU gave the game away. Hit the FGs, you would have been a armed forces bowl contender.

The TCU FG kicker didn't make his field goals. Utah won. Field goal kicking is part of the game. The utes were the better team. If you're saying Utah would have lost to TCU because the kicker missed his field goals, that's just like saying BYU would have lost to CSU or UNLV if they hadn't scored a touchdown at the end of the game. Both touchdowns and field goals are part of the game. Utah did what it had to do to win that game against TCU. They drove nearly the length of the field in the last minutes and scored a touchdown to win it. Get over it. It doesn't make BYU any worse of a team that Utah beat TCU, so get over it.

While reading most of the comments by the fans of BYU and Utah, one could say that intellectual commentary is lacking in both fans bases.

Without the Cougars to hate, Utah fans would be incomplete. BYU fans have the same problem.

The need to brag about a season, that has yet to transpire, must speak volumes about some fans insecurity and maturity.

I am a BYU fan who finds much of the above dribble

FYI: 4 star DE Kona Schwenke from Kahuku just committed in person to BYU's Bronco Mendenhall this morning.

DB's have been a weakness on the team and may be a stregnth (see Ether) this year after looking at the roster. I'm excited for this year's secondary. I think we have more depth and talent this year in the Defensive Backfield than any year this decade:

Andrew Rich- JC all-american, close to linebacker size, he'll knock some guys out.

Craig Bills- 2008 Mr. Football/ #15 nationally by scout.com
Jray Galea'i- #23 nationally by scout.com

Brandon Bradley- 4.5 40/proved himself well last year.
Brandon Howard- rumor has it he's back.
Lee Aguirre- 4.48 40/ 17 JC INT's.
Trevor Bateman- 4.45 40/ heavily recruited by Pac-10.
Robbie Buckner- RM/Arkansas track star.
Garrett Nicholson- 4.4 40/ 2008 recruit/ impressed coaches during spring ball this year.

That is a solid 3 deep. Every one of those guys is a solid athlete.

Layton High standout Thomas Bryson is supposedly coming to the Y next year. Stud tight end... looking forward to watching him play!
