I though Lance was going to be on the support team? Doesn't that mean that he wouldn't in the lead ahead of one of his team mates?

I recall Lance saying he would be glad to be on the support team if it so comes to that. The pecking order hasnt been fully flushed out yet. its still early in the race and with 4 guys on the team who could posibly win it over all its hard to say who the leader is. But it was sure a smart move by Lance to get into the lead group.

As a support ridder you usually are infront of the team leader working for him. He just happened to be in the lead pack when it broke away.

Do you think it "just happend" by luck that lance got in the lead pack or did it take any intuition and skill? It looked like Mr Lance Armstrong was working rather hard on the front there to keep the lead group away.
