Remember the bases for the stimulus package. Obama said,"if we don't pass this right now we will force GM amd chrysler into bankruptsy and 2 million Americans will loose their jobs". Voila America. That's exactly what happened anyway except now the government has just forced the stockholders out with nothing and they are partners so they didn't lose their shares. And, we the public are still going to be out the 800,000,000,000 that we had to pass to avoid this mess. Oh ya, and more than 2 million people have lost their jobs any way. Obama, WHERE'S THE MONEY?

Will not see another dime from me, period. Corporations that can walk away from their debt, steal from their retirees, lay-off those that worked so hard, and barrow money from their new CEO named Obama has no business being in America.

So long GM, I'm not the only American that feels this way. Perhaps Hollywood can save you?????

Welcome to the corporate state. How quickly facism has become the "new" plan. Obama has truly become the CEO. Fight back and take the bus. I'm waiting for the "two cars in every driveway" marketing ploy from the white house. It's all happened before. Look at prewar europe. It's the hyperinflation that is next. The FED will want to wipe out the debt as quickly the stock market wiped out the savings of the baby boomers.

You can't read this news article from beginning to end without getting sick to the stomach. Is there no honor left in America? Bond holders and stockholders used to depend upon America's constitutional commitment to the protection of life, liberty, and property. Now our government is complicit in the plunder of their property. So, let us take inventory: our government is not longer committed to the protection of life. Our government is no longer committed to the protection of liberty. And our government is no longer committed to the protection of property. All of you saps deliriously happy over the election of this government are refusing to wake up. When you do, you will find our future bleak, your money worthless, your retirement dreams obliterated, and your citizenship moved to the Union of American Socialist Republics.

Yes, the people that say they will never buy from GM again, probably never before have either. It is wrong to have a group walk away with MILLIONS, while others of us pay the bills, I have bought CADALICS for my wife for as long as I can remember. They are good cars, I just bought an STS and my sweet little PEARLEY is in Heaven with the LORD, and I am here all alone, missing her so. I was not REALLY in the MARKET for a car, but when they showed me this beautiful PEARLEY WHITE little CADDY, I thought of my little PEARLEY, and paid him for it, I love it, and I do believe it will hit the 165 on the speedometer, but not with me driving it. GM!!! I do not like the way you pay your top people, but I do like your cars and I for one will be with you. Please change your ways!!! There is no man worth a hundred thousand plus expences to run a company. Place me on your board and I will help you turn the company into a good, even better than ever company!!! WW2 NAS VET

I love my GM pickup and will get another one.

I'd get a Cadillac CTS-V if I could afford it.

I'd take a Corvette (ZR1 or Z06) over anything Japanese or German, an Impala SS over a Nissan anyday, etc...

Just maybe the Gov't is acting like a VC/Private equity firm and is assisting GM in the short term.

I recall at the car show a few yrs ago that there were 9 brands under the GM banner. I thought that was excessive.

I do like them getting down to 4 (GMC, Chevy, Buick, & Cadillac). These are the best brands they have and will succeed with them they just need to cut down the number of models offered by each brand.

If GM sticks w/ the midsize engines for Cars (3.5 to 3.8 L), they s/b fine.

Do you think for a minute if GM was a viable company with a profitable business plan that the U.S. and Canadian governments would have to spend a dime acting like a equity firm. No way! GM is not viable and their only plan is to bilk the governments, bond holders and suppliers. As for truck and cadillac buyers, not a big slice of the car buying pie. I'm still trying to find the trunk on the corvette.
