In that same game, Fielder, in his first at-bat hit a dribble down the first base line and he beat it out for a hit. Right then we all knew he would be something special.

Generally, this was a nice little story. However, "one signature moment in Ogden sports history" is an extreme statement. I wonder if the reporter researched any of the OTHER major leaguers who came through Utah 20, 30, 40, 50 years ago. Perhaps "in recent Ogden sports history" would be more balanced. Even better would be a story about a lot of the big names who spent time on Ogden teams. Interviewing Ogden baseball fans over 50 (or 60 or 70) might lead to a richer picture of "signature moments".

I saw Fielder and Hart play together. They were awesome. I saw Fielder hit one out to dead center on a line that left the ball park. It was a sight to see. I told my son who was 7 at the time to make sure you remember him because he will be somebody really soon. Corey Hart was very nice and we talked alot about our home state of KY that night. He was an All Star last year I believe. I loved watching the Raptors. Continued success to them!

Oh...and don't forget Byron Scott. NBA Legend and the probably the best thing to come out of Ogden.
