Its clear as mud that the media (just like yourself) will want Sotomayor as the next Supreme Court Judge.
It would be shocking to see her ruled as incompetent (and you know she is) by both the Democrats and the Republicans.

If you're going to write a article, PLEASE look at both sides of the issues, something the main stream media fail to do these days.

This ladies race is not the issue on her appointment and it should not even be a condiseratiion to gain votes or party popularity. The fact is she is too radical and has no patriotism for the american people or believes in our constitution. I do think she would use her race to further her radical views and is a racist person that uses her race to make decisions.

The supreme court must first believe in our constitution and its god given rights and the declaration that these rights shall not be challenged or negotiated. Sotomayer is a clear and present danger to our constitutional rights as has many of our supreme court justices violating the constitution. The supreme court is the bastion and care takers of our constitution and its laws and radical beliefs that challenge our constitution is not what america needs. The writers and signers of our constitution have clearly made public the intention of the rights and the constitution and if any doubt the intents should read these published letters from the horses mouth. The interpretation and reasons are all there if any politician would bother to educate themselves with the intent of our constitution.

Agree..When 4 of 6 recent rulings by her have been overturned by the current Supreme Court it speaks of "radical" interpretation of laws. Do we really need someone on the court this far out of touch?

. . .with your comment is that Judge Sotomayor is NOT incompetent. She's a very competent appellate judge (far mor competent than Clarence Thomas, for example). She will be a good addition to the Supreme Court.

Yes. She will be a great addition because the supreme court is not supposed to create laws or make laws but simply interpret them. So when she starts playing favorites with one group or the other based on race, then the rule of law is no longer the rule of law. That is why the lady holding the scale has a blindfold on. With sotomayor we can now take the blindfold off and rule based on feelings rather than law. I like it.

Re: “Anonymous 9:36”: I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic, or sincere. If sincere, then you appear to be going back and forth, contradicting yourself several times. It appears that you’re saying that judges should issue rulings based on the law (which I agree with), but that you don’t want Sotomayor to rule that way. Huh? Which is it?

I would hope the republicans show her the same respect as the democrats showed Judge Bork.

She will be the first Hispanic female racist on the Supreme Court.
Judicial Game | 3:13 p.m. July 6, 2009
This has become a political judicial game. Instead of being vetted on actual interpretation of the law, it has become a vetting of ideologies - liberal vs. conservative.

We need to get back to the real indication of what the judges are appointed to do and let the president appoint them. If they appoint the new judge as a liberal judge, that's the obligation of the president. Same thing with the conservative judge. We don't need to keep hammering out the ideologies over a period of a year or so. The public already knows where she is at, and knows that they would have to have powerful persuasion to change her thinking.

It is what it is. However horrible you may think it may be.
GOD given rights? | 2:30 a.m. July 7, 2009
Where is GODS signature on the Bill of Rights? Give me a break, stop listening to the fools at the big school in Provo. Get a liberal arts education that will benefit society as a whole rather than your narrow purpose.
