It is a well know fact that the need for meaningful service practically never comes at a convenient time. People don't schedule their problems for the convenience of others. Things happen when they happen. It is then up to us to choose what is needed most, helping the other guy, or carrying out your plan for the day. I can vouch for choosing blessing the lives of others whenever you get the chance, even if you have to make changes in your plans. Ultimately you will be greatly rewarded if your give the needed service. You will be serving God by serving others. You will receive blessings and it will make you feel rewarded because of the feelings of satisfaction and love that you will have for the recepient of your service. That's the major reason we're put on this earth, to see what choices we'll make - to serve God or to serve self.
