Why doesn't the article explain what the slim playoff hopes are? It would be nice to know what combination of events could lead to a playoff berth.

Slim playoff hopes pretty much means, BYU has to win all their remaining games and they will still need some help (top team need to lose a game). BYU has good athletism and quality players, but they have not improved significantly during the season.

BYU will need to win it's last 4 games and Ventura County Fusion or LA Legends need to lose 1 of there last 2 games. The league they currently play in is probably one of if not the toughest divisions in all of the PDL.
