On our Independence Day, I want to wish all American's a Happy 4th of July, happy birthday Lady Liberty to. Let your Crown always glow, and I don't mean with the help of North Korea's nukes either.

Pray for our troops, and, never forget a Veteran.

Well there Lady Liberty, this is why we have a Happy 4th of July to. North Korea fired seven ballistic missiles off its eastern coast, a violation of U.N. resolutions and an apparent message of defiance to the United States on its Independence Day. It's because "WE HERE CARE." July 4th, more than any other day of the year, gives each of us the opportunity to reflect on just how fortunate we are to live in the United States of America. We are blessed with freedoms that oppressed people around the world can only dream of, and we are fortunate to have the privilege to call ourselves Americans, a proud title that brings hundreds of thousands to our shores each year seeking the freedoms we enjoy. From our founding fathers, who put their lives on the line crafting the best form of government in the history of the world, to those first Patriots fighting in fields and farms, to our modern day soldiers, sailors, marines, and airmen fighting against oppression and terrorism in Iraq and Afghanistan and defending our coasts here at home, we have a proud heritage and a bright future.

The sun is putting on its own 4th of July fireworks show. A new sunspot is rapidly emerging in the sun's southern hemisphere and it is crackling with B-class solar flares. The magnetic polarity of sunspot 1024 identifies it as a member of new Solar Cycle 24. It appears to be the best offering yet of the young solar cycle.

Does Utah even care?.

Every July 4th, we celebrate the courageous men and women who risked their lives so that a new and free nation could be born. Our Founders' monumental sacrifices helped guarantee essential liberties that have unlocked the vast potential of our land and people. They also began the great tradition of believing in America's promise, selflessly working hard and passing on to the next generation a stronger country and better life than they had. As I think about America’s future, I want to ensure my children and their children grow up in a country even greater than the one I lived in. Today, 233 years later, our Founders' vision endures in a country and people that prove extraordinary things can be accomplished in a free and democratic society. Independence Day calls on us to celebrate our Founders as well as the liberty and ideals they fought for. These remain the foundation of America's greatness and serve as an inspiration to people all over the world.

Pray for our troops and never forget a Veteran. We thank them for their sacrifice and pray for the success of their mission and their safe return.

Declaration of Independence, document in American history used by the 13 British North American colonies to proclaim their independence from Great Britain. The Declaration of Independence was adopted in final form on July 4, 1776. It can be divided into three parts: a statement of principle concerning the rights of man and the legitimacy of revolution, a list of specific grievances against England's King George III, and a formal claim of independence.
