Shamefully, they are so utterly drunken with GREED they will sell out the country altogether if it were possible. After all, only one vacation house in Sun Valley isn't enough.

Why does the letter writer complain about illegals not paying into the social security system? Its not as if theu are ever going to receive SSI.

I believe RICH LIBERALS are highering illegals too.

But I guess when they do it it is called charity.

Illegals may not get SSI, but their anchor kids sure do. So, one way or another, we get to pay.

illegals children will not get social security. no one under 50 is is going to get social security. I will pay into it for 40-50 years and then get nothing.

If Amnesty passes illegals will get Social Security and won't have to be children to do it. All they will have to do is prove that they have worked and contributed to Social Security for 40 quarters, ten years. There are probably millions that can do this since now they have been reporting Social Security under an ITIN, Individual Taxpayer Identification Number. Not only that but they will also be eligible for Medicare at age 65.

So, because of the Totalization agreement with Mexico, they will move to Mexico where the cost of living is much cheaper. Social Security will send them their check and if their doctor agrees to the Medicare payment they can sit back and relax on all of the money that they have been sending home.

Illegal aliens paying into Social Security won't save it, because they have the same problem citizens do, they age. Amnesty would allow them to make claims on these benefits.

Illegal aliens pay sales tax, property tax (through their rent) and all the other taxes except income tax, and we all pay less for anything that they produce. Illegal aliens work in industries that produce goods, not in such things as the finance industry where numbers are sold. The children of illegal immigrants will pay income tax, property tax, sales tax, etc., and help to balance out the disparity between the numbers of retiring individuals and the working class. When we measure the true cost, is their really any evidence that illegal immigrants are not paying their own way? Yes they receive benefits by living here, but they also benefit our economy. I'm not saying that changes shouldn't happen with regards to immigration, but let's be honest about the cost.

They don't benefit the country - they bleed the country. Every study shows that.

Using the term "illegals" is obviously derogatory, as are many racially-rooted labels. The fact is they are immigrants, or undocumented immigrants, and sons and daugters of God. Just like you and me. I'm sure the author and many of us broke the speed limit in the last few days. So that makes us as much of a criminal as undocumented immigrants (crossing the border without documentation is a Federal misdemeanor). So since we don't call ourselves "Illegals", then let's apply the same social courtesy to our immigrant brothers and sisters. And...a little extracurricular reading is suggested: the poem at the base of the Statue of Liberty (see Wikipedia), and King Benjamin's address in Mosiah. Let others be judged and treated harshly by He who is chosen to do it.

And drug dealers are unlicensed pharmacists...give me a break!

I was the foreman of a crew of Mexican workers in AZ who could work in the states LEAGALLY! It's called a green card, the "undocumented immigrants" can get one too! There is a reason we call them illegals...they are not here lawfully!

And your reference to the poem at the bottom of the Statue of Liberty is a BIG TIME SLAP IN THE FACE TO MY GRANDPARENTS AND GREAT-GRANDPARENTS who came here LEGALLY! My grandmother expressed that view many times before her passing. And remember, there were no benefits handed to them like there are now to illegal and legal immigrants.
