Touching story, but an obvious fact was left out. Daniel Guadron was an adult, and received a temporary Visa for school and work, including a temporary Social Security number.

The laws stipulate that he will not break the law, and will assist any officer of the law in any investigation. By refusing to tell where his mother was, he violated the law and was eligible for deportation.

This admitted illegal alien and his family deserves nothing less than deportation and fearing the laws they have been hiding from for far too long. This illegal is not an immigrant, he's an illegal who has plundered the tax payers of thousands of dollars with greedy intent. We americans cannot sympathize with criminals and their intent to defraud the american people.

The parents and this kid are admitted illegals and his family should fear the law, they know they have broken our laws and defrauded america. Their miserable lives are what they have earned and no amount of jail time is enough. They have all lived a life of lies and deceit they chose to live and not forced into. It sickens me that the american people are being victimized and saying that illegals do no harm, look at our economy and tell me they were not a majority of the downturn. The american workers lost jobs, income, health insurance, and forced in to reduced wages because of them. What you have lost is because of them. Their lives of crime have destroyed the american dream of even having a job.

Everyone is an immigrant. Even if your grandparents walked over a Siberian land bridge or arrived on the Mayflower.

America has always welcomed the best and the brightest. They built and are still building this country. We need 1000's of Daniel Guardrons to build our bridges and provide jobs for the lazy nintendo kids who won't get off their flabby butts.

Most kids are to young for full time jobs. And with 9.5 unemployment there will be more Nintendo kids out there.

America welcomes immigrants who stand in line and follow our laws.

The real question you are missing, is did our ancesters come legally by the law of the land at the time they came. Even the earlist traded for land to have the right to live here. There have always been laws. The problem today, is with the people coming in outside of the law.
