Aggies will | 4:37 p.m. July 8, 2009
drop the uties no matter where they play. Heard here first, Loucks will not start the second half and it won't be because of a lead either. Once again be afraid, be very afraid.

It sure is hard for the little yewts to admit that the COUGS are going to play a BIGGER game then their Sugarbowl!!!!!

Just keep the reruns humming, 'cause EWE are going to need them this fall!

I am a Cougar but allow me to place my vote for Louks at QB for Utah next year. He's never done much against us in his limited opportunities. I'm much more concerned about TCU and their defense. I'm expecting 2 losses this year, Oklahoma and TCU.
re: 6:34PM | 7:47 a.m. July 9, 2009
Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, somehow the season opener where BYU is taking a $3M payout to get their heads drubbed in by Oklahoma is bigger than the Utes playing Alabama in the Sugar Bowl. Silly Cougar fans.

All this game means is an Aggie-like payday for BYU (taking money in exchange for being a punching bag). If BYU had even a 1% chance to win this game, it might have slightly more importance. But seeing as the mighty Cougars are 1-22 against ranked teams, we all know what the outcome will be.

It appears the jealous Cougar fans will throw out anything no matter how stupid it makes them sound to try and dismantle the huge success the Utes had last season.

You sound ridiculous. You sound like Ute fans did in the 80's. Ouch.
36-3 | 8:23 a.m. July 9, 2009
A rookie qb will not save you this year. Oregon will cream the Utes in Eugene. And please, you guys enjoyed a phantom pass interference call against Oregon State that the Oregonian newspaper is still talking about.
Chew on this Utes, you're going to lose to San Jose State. Can't wait until we play you guys again, that 36-3 beat down was precious.
s gavenman | 10:02 a.m. July 9, 2009
hahaha!!! you guys have to start a junior and we get to start a senior!!!! we win this year!!!!!!! we are going to destroy the uetes and we also have a missionary as our qb. yours is not as good as ours is. hahaha!!!!!! if collie would have stayed, we would realy destroy you, but with our top requoots comming in, and the team all fired up for a national championship run, we will crush you with our "crush blitz" defense. hahaha!!!
re:s gavenman | 11:06 a.m. July 9, 2009
honestly, a junior high football team can play better defense than byu, and just beacuse your QB served a mission doesnt mean he is better, or worse, but for the fact is that if Max Hall keeps playing the way he does, byu will be lucky to make it to a bowl game, especially since he has no real deep threat at receiver, and the utes have one of the best defenses in the country, and a potent enough offesne to score at will. GO UTES!!!
re: 36-3 | 1:54 p.m. July 9, 2009
When you can beat the 1st place team in the MWC in a given year, come back and talk smack. You lost to the 2nd place team from the MWC last year.

Nuff Said

Quote from the Oregonian by sportswriter Paul Buker; Oct. 3, 2009:

"FRIDAY, back home in bullet-riddled southeast ...

Honestly, was that the longest 2:18 you have ever been through, or what?

Re-plays show that S Greg Laybourn was indeed guilty of pass interference in the end zone on Utah's first two-point conversion try."

Oregon State has gotten over it. You're just still sour since you got bounced from BCS consideration. TCU proved you didn't belong there anyway. So wipe your tears.

"...if collie would have stayed, we would realy destroy you,..."

If, if, if... You zoobs had Collie LAST year, and it was WE who destroyed YOU!

Ha ha ha ha ha!

GO UTES!!!
Re: Sandyclaws | 9:52 p.m. July 9, 2009
I called it last year in 2008. I predicted 11-2 again with losses to Utah and TCU. I knew that playing those two teams on the road with no defense would be too hard to get wins. I never would have predicted the embarrasing scores though I thought they would both have been close. I was sure we'd win in Vegas too so I was only wrong on the bowl game, and on the margin of loss with the TCU and Utah games. Of course I didn't predict UCLA to be the beat down it was either.

This next year, being completely realistic, I think it'll be 12-1, with the obvious 1 loss being to Oklahoma. There's cause for concern with Florida St., and Utah and TCU being competitive but both those games are far more winnable this year being at home and with the loss of Utah's starters on both sides of the ball and the loss of all the defensive starters from TCU. There were jokers saying Northern Iowa would be an upset and Washington and UCLA.

I'm calling it 12-1 with I hope a close loss to Oklahoma.
RE: Sandyclaws | 10:13 a.m. July 10, 2009
Sandyclaws is not real , it's a story that your mom and dad made up hoping that you will believe in charity. YBU will not be close to 12-1 after The Arlington Day Massacre.
Oklahoma may not run up the score after the first half because by then they'll want to sit Sam Bradford from the cheap shots of frustration that the remaining lineman will levee on the poor cadavers left to fill in the ER guests.
That alone will not help the TDS because the walking wounded will not crawl forward , the injury laden Blew bloods will just have to make do until next year. No bowl win for you this year young man. My pick ? 8-5 counting the bowl loss.
Re: 10:13 a.m. | 10:58 p.m. July 11, 2009
8-5 is what Utah for 4 seasons after they go to the BCS
VT | 6:22 p.m. July 13, 2009

GO UTES!!!!!

"I called it last year in 2008."

And I'm sure the spirit testified it to you, right? You're so smart! Nice hindsight, buddy.

Well, I'm gonna call it - as in foresight - Utah 12-0 and on to another BCS Win!!

Utah has had great success lately producing stellar quarterbacks whom critics predicted to be so-so. Good luck to whoever gets the call!

GO UTES!!
"Louks" No arm !!!....get real  | 11:06 a.m. July 23, 2009
Louks, Wynn or Cain its a triple threat period !!!! and for those of you who think Louks cant throw , Well his use in the game last season was unique but typical of how the Utes offense like's to throw a curve ball to test the their opponents readiness... So No there wasnt a Lot of throwing but Hint, Hint Such as ..."Asiata taking the Snap" things like that !!! Duh...BYU never thought to try any such Thing...wether you like it or not it works , and lets see you catch Louks when he breaks out of the pocket.....Oooop's.... didnt I mean Rocket ...
Rest easy and be assured you non believers he can throw!!!! oh yeah arent you the same ones who said we would never beat Alabama....Hmmmmm
Louks | 12:51 p.m. Aug. 4, 2009
Louks isn't a leader. He wants to be and knows he should be but he is better at standing behind someone. If he is named as starter it won't last!
matt | 3:08 p.m. Aug. 8, 2009
give it to cain. you can move louks to another position. redshirt wynn and get him ready for the 2011 season!
