What can you do? Maybe this is a good thing. I say let's sign Millsap and
use Boozer and his expiring contract to trade to a team looking to clear cap
space for the Wade/LBJ/Bosh/Amare sweepstakes. If that works out, this could be
great news.

I know that many people don't like Boozer, but I think that he's a
great player and helps the Jazz more than he hurts them. He's a force when
he's healthy and what he lacks on D he makes up for it with all other
aspects of his game, good scorer, rebounder and passer. He and D Will have good
chemistry and the offense flows better when they are clicking. Just my two
cents. Glad your coming back Carlos!

NOT!!! Boozer realized that no one wanted him. Now we as fans have to hope the
the Jazz brass can make a deal for someone of more value who EARNS their
paycheck. This really puts the pressure to try to sign Milsap early wihtout
giving him a huge pay raise. To bad the Jazz can't make conditions on his
return and pay him per game. That would save most of the undeserved 12 million
he will get paid this year. How unfortunate for the Jazz.

Just terrible. Milsap is going to be very hard to re sign now and Boozer will
most likely leave next year anyway.

Open mouth, insert foot. I guess someone has had quiet the reality check over
the past couple of months. 12 million looks to be too high of a price tag for
the value he gives. Let's hope to a healthy and motivated season from
Boozer as he applies around the league for the raise he feels he deserves.

Boozer you ruined The Jazz season last year and you shot yourself in the foot
with your own foolishness. You are right in one thing you say repeatedly:
Basketball is a business and you will do what is right for you and your family.
I guess you learned the hard way this summer that indeed it is a business. The
GMs know that and the fans know that. You are actually the only one who
doesn't seem to understand what being business like is all about! It means
being consistent, being reliable, contributing, being a team player, cultivating
a positive mentality in others. Noone is willing to pay you for your BS and half
effort. Basketball IS a business and I wont be renewing my season tickets
because I dont want to spend my money supporting your greed and poor effort.

I was really hoping he would opt out. well hopefully the Jazz can work out a
trade with a team to pick up this waste of space and $12 million and get some
value in return. I dont see to many teams wanting to pick up Carlos'
contract. If none of the above, hopefully Carlos works he rear end off cuz he is
in a contract year and we all know he wants the $$$.

This may actually be good for the Jazz. His contract is now very appealing to
several teams so the team could trade him and get some value (unlike at the
trade deadline this last season). The team could also keep him. I know that may
not be popular, but think about Boozer's point of view. He will likely have
to play through some injuries and put together the best season of his career to
compete with the big guys in next summer's free agency market. No matter
what happens, look for Boozer to put up big numbers this year.

I've got an 86 year old father-in-law who was hoping for a shot at the power forward spot. He's got stronger and better hands than Carlos and could probably root him out of any spot around the key as well. I know he would play better defense and probably play through a little pain too.

As expected. Boozer shot his mouth off about being a franchise player and
needing more money, so his ex could have more, then plays the JAzz as being in
control. Brags about detroit and New Jersy then finds those teams think he is
less than they thought.
Admit it, they don't want to deal with his behavior any more than the Jazz fans do.
KOC needs to get rid of him for a couple of quality players. His attitude and selfishness will not help Jazz be successful.

Okur they had better not bring back Collins. We all saw what Koufos could do
early in the year and even as a rough rookie it was twice what Collins could
do.
Other teams play thier rookies and 2nd year players. You know what, the get better in a big hurry.
Sloan buries them and they do not develop until thier 3rd year while he plays some incompetent Vet that he loves.
Millsap is a good example. When Boozer went out Millsap florished. That talent was always there. He did not develop it the day Boozer got hurt. When Boozer came back Millsap disappeared (along with 1/2 of the team). Millsap always had the talent. Sloan did not utilize it.
Playing Collins is a guaranteed loss. Playing Koufos will guarantee future wins as he develops quickly.
Since the Jazz will be in the luxury tax Collins will needlessly cost twice as much and the Jazz are not going to be a contender with Collin starting no matter what.
There has to be some end to the Sloan stupidity and stubborness sometime. The team will win more games without Collins.

This is devastating news. Instead of receiving the opportunity to bring in a
hard working, dedicated player, the Jazz are now stuck with a $12 million
bench-sitter. It is unfortunate that this huge amount of money will now go to a
player who spends roughly 1/3 of the season actually playing. There was a time
in this Country when athletes played for loyalty to their team and for the love
of the game. Apparently, that time has passed.

That would sideline him for a month.

I am telling you right now i am not going to one single game if he comes back.
Boozer is hurting the team way to much! Boozer I am saying you should apologize
to the fans for wasting their money on tickets! It is clear he is doing what he
does for the money, and he is not doing anything for his family. What is best
for his family for him to retire(I think he can survive with what he's got)
and spend time with them. He is all about his better car, bigger house, and he

I understand where he's coming from and feel that we should cut him some slack. It is a business decision and he decided its best that he stays here. Now lets hope that he brings a better effort. I'm willing to give him a second chance.
