Good call! As much as I love teh firework show, I'd rather have amazing parks for my kids and grandkids to play in! I applaud the city for this decision!

I love the park and see the need for upgrading many of the facilities, but this is also one of the last free 4th of July fireworks, that I know of. Maybe have the firework show every other year or when the 4th lands on a Friday or Saturday, instead of stopping it all together.
