sad, sad, sad - The fact that Glenn Beck as a Mormon spews hate and ridicule and radio station (ksl) that is owned by the church I love allows Sean Hannity to do the same thing times ten, hurts my heart. Neither one of these people have a clue about the essence of the gospel. Love your enemies, do good to them that spitefully use you. Glenn Beck may carry the name Mormon, but he is no Christian.

You know what anonymous and GRANNY? And all you Mormons out there. I'm LDS too, and yes, Glenn does get passionate in his presentation, but Glenn cares and loves this country. HE IS SAYING IT LIKE HE SEES IT! AND LIKE IT IS, and the rest of you have your heads in the sand. We are headed down a dark, dark, path. Our freedoms are being trifled with. You'd better hope that there are those people strong and willing to speak up for us like Glenn Beck, and the others. I am a T.E.A. party participant, and I will NEVER stop voicing my opinion. I think Glenn Beck is great. I love the show, because he says it like it is. I'm sure he's a wonderful Latter-day Saint. When Pres. Hinckley died, GB made a few comments and I was so impressed and touched by the spirit he brought into that studio that day and how much Pres. Hinckley meant to him as a prophet of God. Maybe not in those terms, but I knew exactly what he was talking about. I don't get to see him at 2pm PST, so I watch him at 11pm at night and I just love the inspiring words he has to deliver. So what if he shocks you a little in his speech, I believe its a way to wake some of you up and see what's happening around you. Get over it! I'm sure its nothing as bad as the boys play and are mouthy in church basketball. The brawl that begins and ends with prayer! You go Glenn Beck. You are great and don't stop being you. Its a pleasure to hear and see you on the television.

I think some people out there really fear the truth. America is in a world of hurt and GB is trying to help wake up the fearful to their awful state. I adore Glenn Beck! I am an insider! I buy every book he produces! And now that his shows are in the movie theatre, I will go see every show he produces! Im not the groupie type BUT

Glen is a fiery, passionate man, but his voice does have impact. "Ye shall know them by their fruits" comes to mind here. He has born good fruit in his efforts to expose, to warn, to teach and even cry a few tears about his faith and love for the church. I take my hat off to this guy and see him as ain imperfect, but powerful brother. YOU GO GLEN! I believe God is on his side.

Harry Reid, Mike Weir, Steve Young, Glenn Beck, Orrin Hatch, Mitt Romney, Gladys Knight, Thurl Bailey: What do all these have in common? Other than all being well-known and members of the LDS church, perhaps not much. Isn't it wonderful that we don't have to agree on everything to be members of the Church. Isn't it sad that so many people are so quick to assume they know all about a person because of certain labels that attach to that person. I would bet that people who know these people well would find, if they got to know the others, that they have a lot more in common than would at first appear.

Apparently Barbara and Whoopi couldn't shut up and listen long enough to figure out the truth. Typical! Keep up the good work Glen!!!! I am a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and have a strong testimonony of the gospel. Been a member since 1973. I am almost 70 years old. I am also concerned about our country but I believe if we follow the Prophet and the teachings of the true gospel we will be OK. I don't claim it will be easy but worth it.

The truth is that Glen Beck represents the conservative view of what is wrong with government. Socialism is rampant in our government. Republicans and Democrats have been the cause of ballooning government. They are both at fault. You liberal Latter-day Saints need to do some reading of what the brethren in the past have said about todays government problems. Glen Beck speaks to those problems and definitely tows the line of the LDS Church's view of Big Government.

I appreciate that Glen Beck is not a run of the mill kind of guy. I believe to use the word hate in conjunction with his feelings towards some groups is wrong. His feelings are geered towards the behavior and adgendas of some groups. As a person he is funny, yet passionate towards wanting the best for his country.

The predominant reactions expressed in previous comments illustrate precisely why Glenn is spot on, both as a conservative spokesperson and a Mormon. The nation, as a whole, has become so entitlement dependent that constitutional liberties are no longer valued, so called "Christians" hate other Christians simply because they don't march in lock step with their own particular beliefs (right or wrong), the idea of pursuing a career for profit is seen as obscene, and passionate patriotism is viewed as being treasonous. When the painful fruits of our present governance begin to impact the homes and families of our nation, some may wish that they had paid closer attention to Glenn's message and had become better informed about how this nation came to be a "Shining city on a hill" and how that "Shine" has been squandered. Wake up America!!!! - or are you past feeling what being an American is all about?

It's great that Glen Beck is LDS. It's great that Harry Reid is LDS. Both are active members of the LDS church and obviously have very different POLITICAL perspectives on the world. That's great! I'm proud to be a member of a church where its followers can become prominent members of completely opposite sides of the POLITICAL spectrum.

Beck displays common sense. He goes over the top sometimes, but he's a showman as well as a conservative. I'm more willing to let people know Beck is LDS than I am Harry Reid. Hard to believe that two active LDS folks can be as far apart as Beck and Reid. Reid spouts hate wherever he goes and is an embarrassment to the Church. People may disagree with Beck, but he's not hateful like Reid, who represents a supposedly tolerant party. One of my favorite maxims whenever I hear someone from the Democratic party chiding others for not being tolerant: "... nothing is more intolerant of a diversity of opinion than a 'liberal' society touting the virtues of tolerance and diversity." (Theodore Pappas). How true that is in today's Obama-nation.

He's a breath of fresh air in a country that's running towards socialism as fast as it can go! Does he want our economy to fail? I don't think so. I appreciate GB for his telling those who listen and hear, what those in power do not want us to know. That he makes a living doing it is fine by me. We all work for money unless your on welfare. After reading these comments I understand how harry reid was elected in NV. I don't live in UT and assume that members in my area are not as blind, as many comments indicate, otherwise I would have a hard time looking them in the face every Sunday. How would you like to be in a room full of harry reids? Get the picture? (actually I would like to be in a room with Harry - just the two of us)

To think, we are just giving it away, American freedoms and liberty. So disgusting!

Harry voted against the Defence of Marriage act the week after we were encouraged from pulpit to contact our legislators and encourage them to vote for it - doesn't that say it all?

I'm stunned about all the Beck-haters who claim to be members of the church. Their main reason is that they fear somehow he will make the church look bad with his "extreme" positions. That sounds more like people who are concerned about the laughter coming from the great and spacious building than they are about truth.

I admit that I don't watch Glenn Beck (or Hannity or any of the others). I try to go directly to the sources of information so I can steer clear of the spin put on by those on both sides of the aisle. But I would never try to censure someone because their opinions may bring the laughter of the world.

Christ was ridiculed. Moses was ridiculed. Joseph Smith was ridiculed. Lehi was ridiculed. In fact, I challenge someone to name a major prophet that was NOT ridiculed. The same is true of faithful members of the church in all dispensations. If your only reason for not liking Beck is that he might be ridiculed, I suggest you reassess what is most important in your own lives - truth or popularity.

Glenn is someone who believes what he says, and says what he means. I don't think there are many people in the government who can be as honest with themselves that they're doing the "right thing" when they get home at the end of the day.

Glenn is great guy, who's desire is to make our country better for our kids, who by the way are inheriting an enormous amount of debt because of our genius policies we've voted for!!

As a Mormon, I am disappointed by the small percentage of Mormons who are so self-righteous they forget the fundamental principles of Christianity. I happen to cuss once in a while and I drink caffeine--but I also try to volunteer in the community and help my neighbors when I can. I am far from a "good" Mormon, but I get a little rattled when I here comments like yours.

I once had a religion professor who talked about all the standards that needed to be kept in order to be a "worthy" member of the Church. Yet, if anyone fell asleep in his class or was late, he would make a point to degrade, mock, and embarrass the student in front of everyone else. As with all religions, you always have the preachers who forget the fundamental principle of "being a good person."

I read a lot and find most of what Beck says to be either fact or opinions that are backed-up with solid evidence and/or credible sources. If you've never watched his show then do so and you'll see what I mean.

So, Glenn is right on many things -- or at least provides solid evidence. So, as a Christian, when I examine why Beck chose LDS as his faith it makes me want to learn more about that decision. Why does he believe what the Mormon faith teaches? Did he "decide" to be LDS or did prayer lead him that way? Is there someone who's LDS that he admires so greatly that he wanted to share that person's faith?

Perhaps Glenn isn't viewed favorably by those who have already adopted the Mormon faith but he's certainly not hurting the church's ability to increase its membership. Again, I'm a long-time Christian, but I'm taking another look at LDS because of Glenn. Sure, he's made some mistakes in life but who hasn't? And he's come out of it a very influential and strong person.

How is he hate filled? I've listened and watched him for years. He doesn't hate immigrants...he hates ILLEGAL immigrants. Why shouldn't he? After I've spent thousands and thousands of dollars on immigration and doing it the legal way, why should someone be able to walk across the border and say "give me a job and let me stay here"? Doesn't make sense.

A poster here said he wanted Obama to fail. Glenn never said that. He said he hopes he doesn't for the good of the country, but he think he will fail. Rush (who I personally can't stand) who said that.

This country is on a downward spiral, and anyone who thinks we can spend money to get out of it is just crazy. But then again, I'm just a hatemongering person who wants Obama to fail and I'm making everyone afraid.

I chuckled at the comments of you who don't like Beck. So...how is it that you know so much about him if you don't like him? You must listen to his show alot to have all this information! Bingo!! Beck is successful because he can attract not only those who agree with him, but you who don't. I would say that Beck is a smart man to be able to do that!
