FLDS challenge Texas search warrants

The FLDS are moochers, child abusers, trouble makers and adulterers. What else could go morally wrong with one group of people?

Although I don't believe in the FLDS interpretation of religion one must admit that they were unjustly treated.

I record a lot of stuff and never get around to watching it. The other day I found an old 20/20 program and decided to take a look at it before I deleted it. It was from the day this story started and they did an interview with the lady who gave the warrant and in the interview she pointed out several times that they had full confidence that the phone call was legitimate (sounded like they were questioning it even at the time).

The thing that suprised me was how much our understanding of the REAL situation has changed over time, and how off base the news media and law enforcement officials were at the time (and I tend to always give law enforcement officials and judges the benefit of the doubt).

Now we all KNOW the call was bogus, but they bought it hook-line-and-sinker at the time (or at least they acted like they did).

The second segment of the program was reporting on the Democrat Primary elections around the country, and they made it sound like Hillary Clinton was a shoe-in for the nomination.

Just goes to show you how_WRONG_the_media_can_be and_why_its_worth_being_a_little_skeptical_of_what_you_hear_in_the_media_sometimes.

well i have met some FLDS people. very nice, peacefull, differant. and thats OK. texes better hold on to there BOOTS. because thise aint over until the texean screams.

Good its about time that the FLDS fights back. I am not part of the FLDS, but if someone demanded to come into my home with out a proper warrant other than probable cause, I would be down at the court house fighting back as well.

I've been following this since day one. My chief concern is that if the govenment can trample these peoples rights, no one is safe. I don't agree with the FLDS, but I can easily see where people with religious conviction are becoming the perceived problem in todays society. Christians who want to homeschool their children, are against abortion, spank their children, are against homosexuality, etc- We are the ones trying to preserve the next generation, and it's just a matter of time before these liberals come out more forcefully to try to take the next generation from us. They'll start with outlawing homeschool...
