He was the greatest thing since sliced bread when he was on CNN. Now that he is on Fox, you liberal nuts cant stand him, lol. He often hammered on the Bush administration so he is not a conservative hack like Stewart, Oberman and all the othe liberal outlets are liberal hacks. Zulu maybe you should examine your comments before you make them. Utah has the lowest crime rate of any state/per capita. The lowest out of wed lock births( which I am sure you love) and the lowest poverty rate in the country. Whenever conservatives really rule there is prosperity!!!
Sheepdog | 6:54 a.m. March 30, 2009
Zulu - The "uninformed" audience who listen to Glenn beck in my experience include Masters and Doctorate level people who are working their butt off and being productive as human beings should. If you want to leave education out of it and go with common sense then Glenn's audience have it in spades. Conservative minded people can back up their beliefs with logic and facts. Not so the liberal morons who in my experience are immature in their thought process.
Steve Knight | 6:54 a.m. March 30, 2009
I remember when newspapers reported the news, rather than smearing their rivals. While I neither agree or disagree with everything Mr. Beck says, you have to take notice that LOTS of people are turning to him for interpretation of the day's events. If they consistently disagreed with him, I don't think they would do that.

Glen Beck is a Phony voice not a real one...he hires a yellow journalist to "debunk" the Fema Camps, when there is clear documentation to prove that Fema camps do exist. Beware America he's not telling the truth either!
gina | 6:54 a.m. March 30, 2009
I think he's refreshing! So glad that he has come aboard FoX News, and I truly hope that the ratings for his radio and TV program continue to soar!! My teenage son and daughter and I will continue to watch his program nightly to stave off the liberal indoctrination that they endure each day at school. Way to go FOX, Way to go Glenn!!
common sense in Kansas City | 6:54 a.m. March 30, 2009
The numbers speak for themselves. It is jut not conservatives who are turning in and watching it is independents and "mad as hell" democrats. Anyone can see that the country is sliding down the path to anarchy. Only a fool would ignore a man who is warning us of our peril.
Beck isn't gaining viewers by convincing people he's right. He's gaining viewers who are discovering Beck is saying what they're afraid to say at the office water cooler. He's unafraid to speak the truth in the face of the thought police on the left who are trying to intimidate the opposition into silence.
Zatoichi | 6:55 a.m. March 30, 2009
More than a year ago Glenn had folks on his show predicting the current financial mess. Glenn was right then and he still is. Even though I wish he would not cry so much...makes him look like a liberal wuss.
show me the money | 6:55 a.m. March 30, 2009
Sadly, all "beliefs" and "intent" aside, Beck is in this for the money, just like any other "spouters of opinion" that any network/advertiser will pay to support.

If ranting about pigs in space or any other subject genterated as much money, and hype, and following as ranting about government did, thats what Beck and Rush and Hannity and all others like them would tackle.

Money and percieved self importance are powerful motivators, and these guys are just riding the "disafected aggrieved Americans" wave all the way to the bank.
Don | 6:55 a.m. March 30, 2009
ExMoDon - I agree - the more he talks the better. People are not happy about what has been going on in Washington, bailouts, social policy, etc. The people are not being represented - political ideologies are, where one tries to out do the other regardless of what is in the best interest of the people and country. ExMoDon - you are the nut and liar - get your head out of the sand.
Anonymous | 6:55 a.m. March 30, 2009
ExMoDon, If Glenn Beck is a "nut and a liar" then why did you read this article? The problem is, for Liberals like you, he speaks the truth. One thing we know for sure is, Obama is a proven liar and without a doubt the real Nut.
Stew | 6:55 a.m. March 30, 2009
Interesting to see some attack this guy. I do not watch his program much, but when I do, he seems to be quite correct. Those who out right attach him must be morons who use emotional babble to raise their points of view.
Deputy Marshal | 6:55 a.m. March 30, 2009
The people who run down Beck as being a nut and a liar, are in truth the real liars; they fear people like Beck and those who recognize that he is speaking truthfully about the intrusion of "Big Brother" goverenment. Obama's administration has been in office for less than 100 days, and there is already the real threat of the government seizing private businesses that are underperforming. The second ammendment is under attack by the same kind of people that supported Stalin, Pol Pot and Mao. The blind leading the unknowing. Those of us that still believe in the Constitution will not tolerate a socialist state or economy in this country. Why do you think that the rest of the world's economy is on such shaky ground? The world recognizes that America is the model of success and that success is based on a free market economy. Liberals (read that as progressives, a popular catch phrase in many socialist circles)have long been willing to sacrfice freedom for the "greater good". Be aware that there is still a large majority of Americans who will not surrender meekly.
Jim Quinn | 6:55 a.m. March 30, 2009
Seems like the paid liberal watchers of the Fox Network are upset that their token lesbian has to take a backseat to a man.(no pun intended) The libs started on Bush from day 1, hoping for failure.
Anna Mac | 6:55 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn seems to speak from his heart more than his head which is definitely a liberal tendency. Still, HIS heart is in the right place: Adherence to the constitution, personal responsibility, limited government, etc.
Mark | 6:56 a.m. March 30, 2009
Zulu's comments are typical ignorant reactionism. Beck's one of the most well-read pundits and could go toe-to-toe with Maher, Olby or any cheerleader of the left, with ease.

His draw is that for the past two years, he's been right about our course moreso than any of his peers on either ideological side.
Sunshine | 6:56 a.m. March 30, 2009
@zulu - you are a racist. How dare you attack a person because of a persons religion or the people of a particular region. You were probably calling people who didn't support Obama as racist, yet you engage in the same behavior you objected to. This is very typical of people who don't understand the implications of Obama's policy and social beliefs.

@ExMoDon - if he was a liar, there would be more written about his "lies." You reject what he says because it's true and you can't take the fact that you have fallen on the other side of that truth. You have supported and voted in a president with no experience and radical views that are leading us to socialism. congrats.

@anonymous- why should we wait around for an outcome that is starring us right in the face. Why wait for a complete reorganization of the economic structure of our country? Why wait for punitive taxes? You"thought" Bush would lead us to WW3. You were wrong. WW3 started under Clinton when Al Queda started its terror campaign against US and World and its ramifications played out before us on 9/11.
Bebe | 6:56 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glen Beck is hitting a nerve in America..whether you like him or not. There is no stability in this congress or Mr. Obama and it shows.
Anonymous | 6:56 a.m. March 30, 2009
No, Obama would be the liar.
taxpayer mom | 6:56 a.m. March 30, 2009
Beck is da man! The critic of Beck just cannot handle the truth.
Ray Prescott | 6:56 a.m. March 30, 2009
He is very emotional about this but so are many American's who believe the country is headed down the wrong path. I for one have become an active member of a "Tea Party" and will work hard to effecdt drastic changes in 2010 and 2012.
Denver Dan | 6:56 a.m. March 30, 2009
ExMoDon, what is Mr. Beck lying about? Easy to throw out accusations, but more difficult to back them up with substance. You may disagree with what he says, and that is your RIGHT as an American. But just because you disagree with him does not make him a liar.

It is interesting though, Glenn Beck will allow you to disagree with him, and he even appreciates the fact that you will disagree with him. Too, bad people of your ilk do not allow the same.
ras | 6:56 a.m. March 30, 2009
"uninformed about economy, history, gov't and science"? Are you talking about Beck or Obama?
Celica | 6:56 a.m. March 30, 2009
"Zulu" your comment is so typical of the self-righteous, obnoxious left wingers who belittle the intelligence or political awareness of those who have a different point of view. Those who don't agree with you are automatically stupid or uninformed! Nice, real nice...
Robo | 6:56 a.m. March 30, 2009
"ExMoDon | 12:14 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn Beck is a nut and a liar. The more he talks, the better!! "

It takes a nut and liar to spot a nut and a liar!! The more you write the better....
Todd | 6:56 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn you keep up the good work, your a good man!!!
danpa | 6:57 a.m. March 30, 2009
if Glenn Beck is 'a nut and a liar', then you are a profound idiot. Glenn is anything but a nut and a liar. he is a man of morrals and of the Constitution. a man that believes in fairness, something the dum-o-craps have no knowledge of. Glenn Beck speaks for the millions of us that have no forum, who believe is working for oneself and not sucking off the teat of others, aka: parasites.
KEEP SPREADING THE WORD GLENN.... YOU JUST COULD BE THE SAVIOR THIS COUNTRY NEEDS.....
Gantoris | 6:57 a.m. March 30, 2009
ExMoDon,
One could call him a nut (I wouldn't agree)- however, I have never heard him say anything that I got any sense that he was lying. You're a perfect example of someone who throws around names without actually taking the time to see if what you're saying is acurate. Whether you agree with his ideas, they are always sincere.
Semper Reformanda | 6:57 a.m. March 30, 2009
We should listen to you Zulu, the pot trying to call the kettle black? LOL
LogicPlease | 6:57 a.m. March 30, 2009
Anon, we know that "spread the wealth" policies don't work. We have seen it time and time again in various countries around the globe and throughout history. We don't have to wait and see the outcome of Obama's policies because we have proof that it doesn't work. All they do is take away individual freedom and depress the creative powers that are unlocked by a free market society. When that is done, EVERYONE is worse off.
dlstrom1000 | 6:58 a.m. March 30, 2009
If Beck is a liar, what are his lies?
If he is uninformed, what is he wrong about?

Maybe it is his critics who are untruthful and uninformed.

I do agree that the more he talks the better, however.
Michael Slade | 6:58 a.m. March 30, 2009
Whats wrong with knowing history! If REAL history was being taught in our unionized schools history wouldn't repeat itself! Glen is A teacher of the lost Storys of our GREAT FOUNDING FATHERS.I fear those type of men are sadly long! GOD HELP THE USA!!! Know I have to go to work to pay my TAXES BYE .
Anonymous | 6:58 a.m. March 30, 2009
"I don't understand how things are somuch worse than Bush era. I thought Bush would lead the world into World War 3. Obama on the other hand is just bigining his work as President. How could we critisize a president without giving a time to see an out come."

By seeing the results he had had in the country in his short presidency? You do realize that the economy has plunged even worse than after 9-11? Bin Laden and 2 airplanes crashing into the WTC did not do 10% of the damage that President Obama has done in 2 months. And no, you can't blame Bush. He took the job, the responsability of it all is his.
madeline | 6:58 a.m. March 30, 2009
beck has reminded us that the Government works for us . Our freedoms are being taken away in a speed that leaves us breathless. where are the people who
would lead this country back to the constitution?
SailormanCGA72 | 6:58 a.m. March 30, 2009
I can identify as one of the dissafected. All the government wants out of me is my taxes. I work hard, make a lot of money, and the President tells me its the neighborly thing to do to give it away to those who won't work. Obama is leading this country to hell and people like Glenn Beck are trying to raise the alarm. BTW Zulu, I happen to be highly educated and well informed about the economy, history, government and science. I'm not a blinded liberal. Glenn Beck speaks my language.
spook | 6:58 a.m. March 30, 2009
Beck's latest foray into populism is merely an attempt to channel Americans' anger into a more controllable venue. The more viewers that pay attention to Beck, the fewer that will likely participate in organized protest and real change.
winningwell | 6:58 a.m. March 30, 2009
Beck is "on the money" that is why he is so popular. He articulates what people are feeling. He is not just an attack dog like the MSNBC stooges! Real ideas, real facts make for real ratings!!!
Awake | 6:58 a.m. March 30, 2009
We need more Glenn Becks to expose the plain and simple truth. The willfully ignorant left are destroying this country in favor of their personal irresponsibility and willingness to have an immoral, greedy, incompetent government handle their every need. Glenn backs up everything he says with facts. The only thing Glenn's opposition backs up their personal insults with is their welfare checks and other freebie handouts.
Tom Jefferson | 6:58 a.m. March 30, 2009
Jeez, can't we give Obama the chance to socialize the country first before we critize him? Can't we give him the chance to reduce our defense, increase nationalization of businesses, destroy the producing class of this country before we critize him? Can't we just let the brother be???
Larry | 6:58 a.m. March 30, 2009
I am a disaffected American. I am tired of paying absurd taxes. I am tired of there being so many laws nobody can obey them all. I am tired of idiot do-gooders telling me that I am "biased", or "racist", or "sexist", or "uncaring", or whatever. I am sick to death of government intrusion into my life.

I am not alone. There are millions of us out here. And we are all preparing. Because eventually, as our founding fathers did, we will tire of the despotic, tyrannical idiots who believe themselves our betters, and will throw them off just as they did.

Be like the boy scout. (Prepared.)
JS | 6:59 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn is great. He has passion and he believes what he says. What is so wrong with that? It is a free country; watch if you want or don't. There are plenty of other news shows to watch if you don't like his style or want to hear the news from a different slant. My only beef is the 5PM slot that Fox has given him. BTW - I am not from Utah & I am not a mormon. Don't put Glenn in a box!
Teatime | 6:59 a.m. March 30, 2009
Zulu,
I find it pretty hilarious that you say Glenn Beck and his audience are uninformed about history, government, and economy. If you are in support of Obama and the moves he is making, then you clearly have not read any history. Socialism has NEVER worked. Look at England, they made the same moves we're making now (on a smaller scale even) a LONG time ago, and out of all the countries at the G20 summit they have the biggest deficit. Talk to almost anyone from England, Canada, or any other country with "Universal" healthcare and ask them how it works for them. My parents lived in England for 4 years, and toward the beginning of the time my dad found out he needed a surgery. Well, there was a 3 year waiting list. Shortage of Specialized Doctors. By the way, Obama only won by what, 7%? Yeah, we're an isolated corner of disenfranchised Americans. Wait until 2010...
Douglas | 6:59 a.m. March 30, 2009
Beck's popularity comes from his commitment to the Constitution, clear values, and the American tradition of Self-Reliance. It's amazing how many attack him for being the very opposite of what he is, for saying the opposite of what he says. I don't know anyone who watches the show who doesn't agree with at least 90% of what he says. That includes even the most committed Democrats.

To answer "Anonymous" above -- and this is speaking only for myself -- the reason this Democrat is upset with Obama is because he has already run up more debt than any other president, because he continues to take money from taxpayers to give it to big corporations (on a scale Bush never dreamed of), and because he seems to want to meddle with every facet of our lives. Just look at his recent power grab for the power to control, take over, or liquidate any business in America through the Treasury Department. Look at what he's proposed for agriculture, regulation that would put every small farm in America out of business. We criticized Bush for being in the pocket of big business but Obama has gone past Bush
Mr. Strat | 6:59 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn nails it. He comes across as just a regular guy and is able to see the dangers of Obamunism (like that's a tough thing to do). And, he's hysterically funny.
tim hussey | 6:59 a.m. March 30, 2009
Did you noticed they added he's a mormon. Why did they do that. I don't care what religion he is. As long he believes in Christ as they savior that's good enough for me. He speaks the truth what Americans are feeling.
Anonymous | 6:59 a.m. March 30, 2009
Most elected officials refuse to admit that the US work ethic is down the tubes. The worker who is paid for forty hours but works only thirty hours is admired for " beating the system". Socialism begins with citizens believing that the government owes them, their employer owes them and society owes them.

We cannot continue to dwindle the ranks of productive menbers of society to provide for the nonproductive.

American Citizen | 7:00 a.m. March 30, 2009
This article is a prime example of why the NY Times is in the toilet. They defend liberals and Democrats at every turn and attack any conservatives or Republicans when they prove to be any threat at all. What a wonderful business plan - make sure that 50% of your potential customers will never buy your product. And when you consider who supports the Democrats - not many of them can read. Look for the NY Times to be out of business by the end of the year.
Paula | 7:00 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn tells like it is. Finally the sleeping giant has woken. Thank you Glenn Beck!
diana | 7:00 a.m. March 30, 2009
Everyone that watches Fox News, please go to a TEA PARTY April 15th.
NewRevolution | 7:00 a.m. March 30, 2009
Kudos to Beck. The accusations of lying and being a nut don't stick. Typical of liberal. Say it enough times, some people will believe it. All without giving one legitmate example of either. As far as Beck being misinformed, that's laughable. If anyone is uninformed about the economy, history and government, it's the Obama administration. The problem with liberals is that they think they know it all when in reality they know so little. History has shown us this. Jimmy Carter tried this and he failed miserably, Obama is the second coming of Carter. The liberals would like to think that history only goes as far back as the freshman year in high school. Grow up.
American | 7:00 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn's popularity everywhere speaks for itself. Glenn is about the only person I know of today that is on the side of America. He is just as likely to trash a Republican as a Democrat. He is always going back to what was in the hearts of our founders. I used to think many of his predictions were a little extreem until they started to come true.
