ExMo, way to be original. Frustration is ugly, isn't it? And, to Anonymous, I would be anonymous too if I were that out of touch. Bush got blamed in the media for the stock market crash in November of 2000 before he even took office. Then the snowball effect happened and he wasn't ever able to do what he needed to fix Clinton's mistakes. The American people and the media can thank themselves for this mess. Er, $750,000 house for someone that makes 30k a year, Bush didn't tell them to do that. Time to take on some responsibility for ourselves.

I am one of the "disenfranchised, freedom-loving, Socialist-hating, defender of the Constitution, God, American family, values, citizen.

Mr. Beck is RIGHT ON with his comments. So far, he is the only one who dares tell it like it is.

If we continue to let government gain a stranglehold on everything we hold dear we're not going to be able to reverse it.

At least with Mr. Beck he's giving us direction, hope and the wherewithal to "CHANGE" this country's direction.

"CHANGE" BTW and "HOPE" that I can REALLY BELIEVE IN.

Not the Change and Hope that was touted time after after time on the campaign trail that has drained me of all hope and is going to leave me and my family with very little "change" left in my bank account at the end of the month.

Government Socialism - When They Run Out of Our Money--just print more or tax us more.

Sounds like a good plan to me.

I am not surprised at all by his sudden TV popularity. I have listened to him intermitently on the radio for years. He is funny, humble (unlike a lot of other conservative T.V. personalities) and very very smart. He is a recovering alcoholic who speaks truth to power. People love him because he says what they are thinking. He is totally credible because he refuses to tow the party line. People can sense that he is not just a hack for the republican party. He calls it like he sees it. Anyone who thinks he is inciting violent revolution is crazy or misrepresenting the show on purpose. I wish him all the continued success he deserves...

Zulu, You are the blind leading the blind. Wake up America and listen to the news that does not get reported by the main stream press/programs,its people like Glen Beck who ofer the straight talk that true Americans need to hear....Its not to late.

I abslolutely applaud Glenn Beck. He nails politicians in a bipartisan way that few do. What I hear him saying is basic philosophy that our brilliant founding fathers held..good government is small government. Government is inversely proportional to liberties...as government grows, liberties shrink. The only way to limit the evil is limit the size. I listen to Beck to send the signal of when it is time to take to the streets.

typical comments from the left if you can't beat them discredit them. he seems to be popular in more places than just utah perhaps we can get an olberman nonsensical rant about his populatity
Wanderer | 6:42 a.m. March 30, 2009
Amazing how many people that attacked Bush from day one want to give Obama plenty of time to drop an anvil on their heads. He has already demonstrated gross incompetence, hypocrisy, indifference to truth, cronyism, the worst kind of partisanship, ignorance, mental laziness and no respect for his own promises. Teleprompter man is monstrosity unleashed.
jay | 6:43 a.m. March 30, 2009
Because anonymous - Obama is the worse president we have ever had and he has managed to prove that in a few short months. 1. you don't raise taxes when people don't have money 2. you never try to socialize the united states. 3. you don't try to build a nanny state-put more people on welfare. 4. you don't outspend a 2 term president in 2 months. 5. you don't go on Leno or worry about basketball games when the country is in shambles 6. you don't hire theives and liars to run your cabinet ( unless your a thief and a liar yourself)7. every bomb building, maniac runned country knows Obama will do NOTHING when they bomb again.8. you don't fire CEO's of privately runned companies (unless you plan to take them over- socialism) 9. you don't stop drilling for oil in your own back yard and start buying oil from the maniacs who want to bomb us. 10. Why did we buy green cars for federal employees? -Tax bailout bill
I can go on but I don't have time.
EL Jefe | 6:43 a.m. March 30, 2009
Ugh. Comments are all the same... conservatives are fools, we don't know history, Glenn (or Bush, or Cheney, or fill-in-the-blank) is a liar. Say what you want, but Glenn, Sean, and Rush are putting it out there everyday, explaining the conservative point of view. You can agree or disagree, but to call someone names just because you disagree with their opinion is the first step down a road none of us want to travel (see Germany, 1932). If I could find someone explaining the Liberal point-of-view in a clear, thoughtful manner without the vitriol and anger, I would listen, because I don't understand it. Just listen before you criticize. Remember, we are the people who pay for your utopian experiments.
Dave | 6:43 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn speaks for a lot of people. I wonder how many Obama voters thought he would try to socialize this country and turn it into a third-world power. Go Glenn.

Please read Walter Willams and Thomas Sowell.
Tollefson | 6:43 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn Beck is really crazy, he says stuff like stop spending money we don't have and will never have. I have also heard him say dangerous stuff like, the government should leave us alone and let us live our lives,we don't need a babysitter. Oh yeah and the most insane statement of all, character counts, and integrity matters. I guess I'm crazy too.
Supporter | 6:43 a.m. March 30, 2009
I'm ready to grab my pitchfork and torch - march on Washington - and throw the bums out. Glenn is the voice of the real people - those who work hard and pay taxes. How dare those Socialist think they can take our country from us without a fight. God bless you Glenn!
myron monk | 6:43 a.m. March 30, 2009
The viewers of Mr. Beck see him also as an alternative to the corruption and bias of the mainstream media. I find it amazing how exercised the lefties get when a conservative merely practices his right to free speech. At the same time, they stay "informed" by the sock puppets on MSNBC. So the NYT has spoken. Let the Beck-bashing begin. How long before Olbermann and his coterie call Mr. Beck the "worser" person of the day? It would be comical if these real "clowns" of the media weren't trying to shut down the voices who oppose them through the (un)Fairness (Censorship) Doctrine.
Shane - GA | 6:43 a.m. March 30, 2009
Go Glenn... The only people for Obamas America are the lazy parasites taking the working man/womans money. Obama has done more damage in two months than most could do in a full term.
khpdave | 6:44 a.m. March 30, 2009
I love joining in, or listening to spirited debate - There's no such thing as "too much perspective". I get real concerned when a person, group or government thinks it a good idea to silence specific perspectives. In a free-market society, any perspective provided through government intervention rather than economic viability is the purest form of propaganda. Glenn Beck brings unique perspective to the table and clearly it resounds with an awful lot of listeners. If you're the kind of person that simply can't tolerate opposing views there is always the option of changing stations or switching off. If the day comes that we can't turn on or find perspectives we want to hear, we will have turned the corner into a dark and scary corridor.
Jack | 6:44 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glen Beck rules. We need some one on the air to point out that we are definately going down the road of socialism.
Dr, Salt | 6:44 a.m. March 30, 2009
I have been listening to Glenn Beck for many years. He is among the bravest men on earth. He is self educated, self diciplined and smart as any of them. Those who haven't given his style a chance are losing a great source of history eudcation, and an opportunity to unite in the name of God and the USA constitution.
Anonymous | 6:44 a.m. March 30, 2009
He is popular for a reason. He speaks the truth. The reason his ratings and Fox's double MSNBC and CNN is alot of people are tired of the bogus mainstream media who are in bed with the current president and will not criticize him
Jim | 6:44 a.m. March 30, 2009
When liberals like Bill Maher and Keith Olbermann have to continually bash Glenn Beck, you know he's on to something big. He's a threat to the socialist dreams of the far left clowns in office, and thus rapidly becoming a target of losers like Keith & Bill. Keep up the great work Glenn!
Randy | 6:44 a.m. March 30, 2009
Well, those of you who so intensely dislike the guy do have a choice - watch something else!
Aviator Girl | 6:44 a.m. March 30, 2009
Congratulations to Glenn! He with Rush, Hannity & Cunningham, tells it like it is! Best wishes Glenn, keep it coming

Glenn is what the drive-by media IS NOT! - The little kid pointing out that the emperor is indeed naked, and his new clothes are a sham!

The alphbet channels have nothing but praise for Obama's policies on immigration ,expanded government, and socialist domestic policy. Like Rome, this country can not survive with unlimed immagration, debt and involved all over the world. Let's face it, this country is broke yet continues to tax and spend. One must understand that government does not create wealth, but rather redistibutes wealth created by the private sector. By taking on more government employees can not solve the unemployment problem. Just look at our Postal Service. Is this someone that we would want to turn over our heath system? This country can not be the welfare state and police force for the entire world. We do not have unlimited resourses. Beck knows this and is one of the few in the medea who is willing to say so. He has become the voice of the tax payer, the church goer, the veteran, and the every day citizen who works, trys to obey the law and sees the US as great country and civilization taken down to the status of a Third Word country. Beck speaks for us.
Freedom | 6:45 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn Beck is Great! He helps remind us that this nation was founded on principles... principles that are under attack by people who would have the government control everything. Good for Glenn for helping expose this.
Tony Wilson | 6:45 a.m. March 30, 2009
He paints the Federal Reserve for what it is: a collection of sophisticated thieves.
princess | 6:45 a.m. March 30, 2009
I think Beck is speaking for millions of us around the country. We were betrayed by Bush, both parties, and completely by Obama. It is time for our voices to be heard. Obama, Pelosi and his administration is destroying in two months what it took millions 200+ years to create. Now he feels he even has the authority to decide how much money people can make, who deserves my hard earned money, and force heads of corporation out of office. As for the bonuses to AIG, his people approved them and if the government uses the authority to take AIG employees money by taxes, yours can be next. besides, will Obama, Dodd, etc return the AIG contributions they received???? Pelosi, Obama et al need to be removed from office while we still have a country worth being in.
Betsy45 | 6:45 a.m. March 30, 2009
This country has lost touch with its common sense roots. Beck reminds us from whence we came. We need more like him.

IT IS INTERESTING TO HEAR THE EASE WITH WHICH PEOPLE CALL SOMEONE A LIAR.ITHINK IT IS INTELLECTUALLY LAZY AND CAN BE USED EASILY TO DESCRIBE A PERSON YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH
Conservative | 6:45 a.m. March 30, 2009
Anonymous - How can you say "I don't understand how things are somuch worse than Bush era. I thought Bush would lead the world into World War 3. Obama on the other hand is just bigining his work as President. How could we critisize a president without giving a time to see an out come." Look around you. Do you blame the state's issues on Bush too. The spending done by Obama and company is so far out of line that you can't even see what the real impact will be for years to come. By then the Republican will be back in office and blamed for the economic problems. Most Liberal States are struggling and having to raise taxes (CA, NY). Add the tax burden that will be added by the feds in the next 2-3 years and look out. We are all in for a world of hurt. Let companys fail!!!!!
LiveFreeOrDieNH | 6:45 a.m. March 30, 2009
ExMoDon,
I can understand, given your obvious liberal propensity, why you'd think Glenn was a nut. But, please explain the liar part. Glenn is the guy pointing out the demonstrable lies of politicians in both parties.
Zulu said "His popularity in Utah speaks for itself." Are you saying the people in the great state of Utah are idiots or are suggesting that because Glenn is a Mormon (and Utah has a high population of LDS)? Either way, it sounds like a rather bigoted comment from yet another condescending liberal. Glenn may not be an expert but he's honest AND he brings experts on his show.

Lastly, Anonymous, President Bush was horrible. Give our current President a chance? He and Congress have already rammed so much crap down our throats in less than 90 days that we can clearly see the outcome...and it isn't pretty.
shannon | 6:46 a.m. March 30, 2009
zulu, you are the uninformed one. You needed to write that comment to yourself Moron.

Disaffected?

We are THE small business owners that hire you uberintellectual clowns!

YOU TOO WILL UNDERSTAND when Mr. "O"s taxes and caps go into effect and we start cutting jobs because we can not operate at a loss.

YOUR JOBS!

Then wait for his inflation and your utility bills, food and rent doubles like it did under Jammy Carter! Thank you Pelosi!

But then when did Mr. "O" take any economic classes or make a payroll??!

]He is just another damn lawyer moneychanger!

Fools!

Glenn is awesome. love his show. sometimes it is frustrating to be shouting "wake up America fight for what you have now". Obama is modeling himself after Chavez. people may cheer, but when gov't controls every little itty bitty thing, you won't be cheering and Beck will be saying "i tried to warn you". Obama WH and George Soros is definitely profiting and enjoying this crisis that we have. i assure you, nationalizing medicine and business is not what we need, Gov't can not and does not grow jobs and do a good job advocating for the people. Socialism= gov't control in every little bit of your life (what you eat, read, watch, buy, how much you can earn, how much you have to give, where you can travel, who you can associate with.)
Down with Libs | 6:46 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn Beck is right on target and all the libs who are afraid of his message are SO right to be. We will win this country back from the socialist pigs! Carry on Beck... Carry on
TeddyEddie | 6:46 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn is just what we need now to wake up the "twisted freaks" who were so fooled by NoBama and voted for him. John McCain/Mitt Romnet are REALLY starting to look good now...
Waiting | 6:46 a.m. March 30, 2009
Anonymous - your spelling shows exactly how much you might possibly understand. This President is forcing a debt onto my grandchildren and he is just getting warmed up. Scary. At least that is one thing Bush did not do. Speaking of WWIII - Bush wasn't even on the radar. Kennedy's brilliant move with the Russians (whiched worked) scared me and my friends, parents, etc, more than Bush ever did. Learn some real history - then you will understand why so many people are worried about Obama's agenda.
Jim Schulenberg | 6:46 a.m. March 30, 2009
I like the guy. Keep talking Mr. Beck. I'm listening.
Zulu? | 6:46 a.m. March 30, 2009
Someone who is uninformed about the economy? Are you talking about Barack Obama? I AM an economist and I feel that nobody is less uninformed than Barack Obama.
Barack Obama knows government, social (ist) programs, thuggery, and thats about it. Oh yeah, he also knows how to dance around Hollywood and look cool.
I don't like Glenn Beck much, but I support the fact that he is standing up against economic policies that are creating HUGE problems down the road.
Show me the birth certificate! | 6:47 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn is 100% truth. He gives voice to the majority of Americans who are silenced by biased left-wing media who give voice to the minority of Americans. He gives hope that maybe, just maybe America is not dead yet.
The Reason for Beck's popularity | 6:47 a.m. March 30, 2009
is Americans are waking up. Every time Congress or Obama give a speech on the "Federal" Stimulus, "Federal" Budget, "Federal" Health care, "Federal" programs replace the word Federal with the word TAXPAYER. There is no Federal Tooth Fairy putting dollars in an imaginary Federal chest...that's you and I. I think Americans see that we've just mortgaged our grandchildren. Congress and Obama's cabinet must remember they work for us...not the other way around.
rknott | 6:47 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glennn Beck surely speaks for me. We need more people to speak the truth and not be ashamed. I love his show and wish him continued success. Amen.
me | 6:47 a.m. March 30, 2009
the more that 'brilliant' people like zulu hate what glenn has to say, the more i believe he is right on the money. i've listened to glenn for years and he speaks from the heart. it's no show. he's not that good of an actor. he's popular because he speaks what many feel. hate us if you want, but we're more than just some 'nutjob' on the radio and fox news. there are millions of us zulu, and we don't all live in utah.
Stacy | 6:47 a.m. March 30, 2009
Anyone that watches his show should at least be entertained by it. He is 100% heartfelt in what he says. Because of his show I can finally say Im not a republican, Im a a principled American Conservative that loves my country despite flaws and mistakes that it has made. Its nice being able to roll my eyes at republican politicians too, I feel intellectually free for the first time. If the democrats can start to distrust the Democratic leaders too, well then, politicians will be nervous to say the least.
Mike Glaser | 6:47 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn Beck is a man who does significant research before he takes a stand on a subject. Whether you agree with him or not, he is honest about his beliefs. We should be so fortunate with the so-called "mainstream" media. It takes a lot of courage to speak out in a Country where an apparent majority of people have decided that their liberty is no longer worth the price. Keep it up, Glenn, you are not alone, either.
