Glenn tells it like it is. The TOOLS of both political parties hate him for it. Keep it up Glenn!
Bryan | 12:21 p.m. March 30, 2009
I don't take his word as gospel, but watch religiously.

If you really want to listen to someone who doesn't know what he's talking about, try Keith Olberman!

Glen Beck, Rush, Hannity, Savage, all the same kind of entertainment. Just a slight difference in the way they slobber their ignorance over the Am.

This is the perfect stereotype of one of their listeners:

A person who, for whatever reason, is entirely void of the ability to have original thoughts of their own.
This person also feels the need to be lead around by their nose. This application extends to every aspect of their lives from birth until death. In their religion, their politics, their personal lives, etc. Without somebody else telling them what to think, they feel lost in the wilderness.
This person more than likely voted for the likes of G. Bush. This person was also lined up to vote for S. Palin for VP. This person votes the way they do, because people like Beck made them afraid of individual thinking.
This person is frightened of any change. Even if what has been happening under their chosen leaders has been a disaster, they will want more of the same.
This person loves conspiracy theories, and repeating them.

Glenn Beck is informative and entertaining. I've been a fan for years after finding his radio program. I was a but surprised to see him on CNN Headline News ... but he often had that awesomely cool/cute Erica Hill on the show ... it made it more fun to watch! (she would always refrain - sometimes with difficulty - from stating her OPINIONS about his topics. And that's journalism, isn't it?)

Glad to see him on FOX where he can get better coverage (hes on at a better time slot) ... I catch Glenn as often as I can (Tivo is great, no?)

It's going to be a long four years with this useful idiot that we've put in the Whitehouse. And with Republicans oiling themselves up for the Democrats, real conservatives have nowhere to turn.

Glann Beck has that sense of realism that only he and Lou Dobbs project. I'd liek to see both of them debate the kook left of Maddeuax and Maher.
Gary | 12:23 p.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn Beck is a piece of fresh air when he is speaking on the Constitution and what appears to be its doom if caring Americans don't wake-up and take notice. He is the Paul Revere of the modern era.
anonymous | 12:24 p.m. March 30, 2009
Love him. Inspirational. Articulate. Passionate. It's about time. So obvious how much he loves this country.
Proud American | 12:24 p.m. March 30, 2009
Beck speaks for those of us that work hard pay our taxes and bills and are getting the short end of the stick.
Rodney | 12:25 p.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn is not new. I have been listening to Glenn back when he was in Tampa. I was one of the "Sick Freaks" that loved him and still do. Genuis has to be discovered and elevated. There was days you wanted to kill Glenn, then all of a sudden it would click and you would see what he was trying to tell you. He has been himself all these years not changing to get a better deal. I was disappointed when he was on CNN because I was sure the would restrain him. I was very happy and not surprised when he went to Fox where he belongs. There will be days when they will even question what they have turned loose. If you don't like what GB has to say, keep drinking the koolaid!
Caldera | 12:26 p.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn is a rallying point for people like me... those who have contacted their representatives.. been given baby talk and lies... who have had their thoughts completely marginalized...It is time we, the People, reflect on our values and reject any politician who says one thing and votes another. We need to clean house in our government and elect individuals who are honest and follow through on their promises. We also need term limits and limits on their pay and benefits. One radical solution... they all work voluntarily! Now that would be a true government for the people. Or maybe, they could just receive a stipend for their good service.
nsg | 12:26 p.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn is the best!
Bless you | 12:27 p.m. March 30, 2009
. . . Glenn Beck!

Keep asking questions!

Keep refusing to take liberal drivel for answers!

Keep pointing out that the emperor is not wearing clothes!

Keep taking yourself less seriously than you do the issues!

In short -- keep doing what you're doing.

The fact that you've stirred up a deranged responses from academics, "jouranlists," and liberals means you're on the right track!
ann | 12:29 p.m. March 30, 2009
I don't miss Glen Beck. He says exacting what honest, working, tax-paying Americans think. He's my voice as I live through the this Ovama administration. They are not competent. They fly by the seat of their pants from one day to the next. 2010 can not come soon enough. We need Republicians in the congress to stop some of the radicial, spend all our ttypes in Washington. Glen puts into words our true sick-of- this nonsense thoughts.
wow | 12:29 p.m. March 30, 2009
I can not believe all the comments on this story! Glen, thank you I think America is waking up!
Virginia Sparks | 12:30 p.m. March 30, 2009
God bless you, Glenn. America needs you. We are planning our tea party and sick of the mess the government has made of this country and we are taking it back!
Malagon | 12:31 p.m. March 30, 2009
Been a life long republican up untill recently and ironically Glen helped push me the other direction. So yes I have watched him numerous times. He is fully entitled to say what he wants and while I dont care for him any longer wish him no ill will. So yes Glen may be pulling in more people but understand its a two way street. He is also pushing away some also.

The idea we are heading towards a socialist society is a joke we have had/ do have many socialistic institutions that amazingly no one talks about or complains about. Not a fan of a nanny state any more than most but to complain about something comeing when its already here is sooo laughable.
John | 12:32 p.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn Keep on with the "Sock it to them" Your right (like Rush) and I agree with what you have been saying. You might pass up the O'Reilley Factor as the #1 on Fox
MT Dude | 12:33 p.m. March 30, 2009
Yeah, leave it to the NYT to slant an article on conservatism in America. Beck is his own man, not Fox's, which is a credit to both, really. Constitutional conservatives are not a disaffected minority in this country - only on the Coasts, where the disaffected whining class hang out to get all their needs taken care of by big liberal governments. We're not going to let Washington dictate law and policy to our States here in the middle. I recommend that people become familiar with the 10th Amendment. The Tenth Amendment restates the Constitution's principle of Federalism by providing that powers not granted to the National government nor prohibited to the states are reserved to the states and to the people.
Bob | 12:33 p.m. March 30, 2009
If all you loudmouths posting comments about Beck not knowing anything about [revisionist] "history", and Limbaugh being a "hate monger" [let's hear some SPECIFIC examples then], and how you "enlightened" people are all so smart, then why is the country in such a big mess?

All you gawping idiots are the ones who do the real work in this country. Talk is cheap, and we've seen the result of your actions. Where has all this "you just hate..." and "you're stupid" garbage gotten us all? Quit whining about how evil the person you don't like is, stop blaming everyone else, and take a good, hard look in the mirror. I don't believe a 6 year old kid who blames everyone else for their woes, and I believe a 18+ year old "kid" even less.

What a pathetic, infantile bunch of whining, "everyone else but me is the problem" losers this country has turned into.
JD | 12:33 p.m. March 30, 2009
Please take time to read the 5,000 Year Leap. Educate yourself on the true meaning of a representative government and reasons for America's greatness. Overlay what you glean from this book on our current politicians and the state of our nation... you too will wonder how we allowed our republic to become so distorted and our freedoms so dimished. They work for us, we all need to become better informed and active in preserving our constitution as written by our founders.
Republican Beck | 12:33 p.m. March 30, 2009
The 'Do Nothing' Party needs a spokesman like Glenn Beck...
Dave | 12:34 p.m. March 30, 2009
I can tell Beck is doing a good job because the left is smearing him with personal attacks. When the talking-points readers on MSNBC call Beck "crazy", what does that make MSNBC "star" Olbermann, a brain-damaged failed sportscaster who lies about his education and can't even drive a car? BTW, Olbermann hates FOX because they fired him.
Michael Mahon | 12:34 p.m. March 30, 2009
Why do people quote David Frum? As if a pro-abortion Canadian has anything to say about real American conservatives? David Frum is just another useless Beltway media insider piping in with his me-too-istic criticisms of American conservatism.
Michael | 12:36 p.m. March 30, 2009
Case in point: North Dakota vs. New Orleans... Let people work together in a crisis, keep their guns, and in the face of a sever weather situation where the people haven't been coddled and given hand-outs by the government, they are getting the job done.
New Orleans= the future of the USA under a socialist agenda.
North Dakota= The future of a conservative self reliant USA of the people, by the people and for the people.
Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today. Teach a man to fish; and you will not have to listen to his incessant whining about how hungry he is."

A nother nut on fox with a big lying mouth.Self serving attituded.
Karen | 12:38 p.m. March 30, 2009
You go, Glenn! I've been following Glenn for many years-since he was on the radio in Philly, on The Big Talker. I LIKE that he shows his emotions-you KNOW he loves his kids, his wife, and that he cares about us that listen to and support him. I don't agree with him on everything, but on the basics that count, like family, integrity, 'saying what you mean, and meaning what you say', I try to live my life that way and hope everyone else would, too. He's been through it. And he's come through. I wish I could.
Anonymous | 12:39 p.m. March 30, 2009
Glen Beck is theatrical, but there is much truth in his message. Opponents of his views should study the message, not just automatically reject the person.
david brimeyer | 12:39 p.m. March 30, 2009
God bless you Glenn! You are so much better than anyone on PMSNBC. Anybody who disses you is eithrer an idiot or just plain stupid.
JSHarvey | 12:39 p.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn's biggest problem (and most conservative commentators' as well) is that he does not understand macroeconomics. He has a good handle on microeconomics, and as such occasionally gives good personal advice as a result, but applying micro centric thinking to economy wide issues always ends in more problems. The two basic ideas which he does not understand are: "The Fallacy of Composition" and "Multiplier Effects".
Now that the conservative let the market do whatever it wants policies of the previous administration have driven our economy into the ditch, the same conservatives are complaining about the size of the tow truck needed to pull us out.
Anonymous | 12:40 p.m. March 30, 2009
In response to "exmodon" whatever that means,

"Go Glenn" we need you in the fight against the DC political prostitutes.... All of them (both parties) starting with Barney Frank.
Barb | 12:42 p.m. March 30, 2009
Keep up the good work. Those of us who speak out about what is happening to our constitution and our love for our Savior are sure to be made fun of. Proves Satin is alive and well but make no mistake God is still in control.
The Thinker | 12:43 p.m. March 30, 2009
Sarah Palin must love Glenn Beck. He is deflecting some of the irrational lefty hate away from her. I have a challenge for those of you are calling Beck all kind of names without ever hearing his voice. I will listen to Maher for a solid week if you promise to watch Beck for a week. Odds are, in a weeks time, we will all be conservative. And yes, I have heard Maher, Olberman, and Mathews, because I want to hear both side of the issues. Most leftys refuse to listen to conservative talk. Maybe they are afraid thay might learn something.
Rose | 12:43 p.m. March 30, 2009
Now that Glenn Beck is being listened to by millions, the libs will start their character assasination. That is their way of answering our common sense beliefs. They simply do not have the answers, except to rule the lives 0f every business and every individual now.
Just take a look at HR1388.
Pamela | 12:43 p.m. March 30, 2009
Love, love, love Glen Beck! The left will be after him even more viciously now that his popularity has gained traction with the conservative/unvoiced dissatisfied Americans living in the U.S. Socialism is rampant and thriving in this country. For the left, this is an era of glory! For the rest of us, we feel that we are on the path to quick destruction, just as we feared when Obama was elected. Our nightmares are coming true. We need someone like Beck to stand up for us and express our outrage!
Kanemaster | 12:44 p.m. March 30, 2009
Obama keeps saying he inherited a recession. I would want to remind him that every dumb big spending program Bush came up with was always met with complaints from Democrats that he wasn't spending enough money on this or that program. This recession would be much worse had they had their way and now they have to accept all of the blame and quit complaining. This is your baby now. NO MORE EXCUSES. Man up!!! Beck is great so deal with it before I give Ann Coulter her own show and give you something to really complain about.
confused | 12:45 p.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn Beck. Great man? Or greatest man?
W. Dolan | 12:47 p.m. March 30, 2009
Why Beck on the front page of the NYT? Could it be that it is because of their motto: All the news thats fit to print. Beck is news and new that may save this country along with Rush, Hannity and a host of other Americans who love this country,.
mhuls | 12:48 p.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn Beck is just a voice on-air for how most Americans feel about the socialism of our country and the shredding of our consitution. Beck is not a loon, not a radical...but that's an easy attack method consistently used by the ultra left-wing politicians ans supporters. Disagree on issues and methods...but stop downplaying political dissent with personal vile attacks. We the people are mad and will not stand by and watch the destruction of our country by the congress, president, and supreme court...Our voices will be heard!
The Thinker | 12:51 p.m. March 30, 2009
I agree with the guy from the west coast. His show should be repeated later same as O'Reilly, Hannity, and Greta. I'll bet that before too long Beck's two airings would pass Hannity and Greta.
Caius Marius | 12:51 p.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn Beck is refreshing. CNBC during the election campaign was obnoxiously one sided. At least Fox reports information that is not made available on CNN and CNBC.
attorneygirl | 12:51 p.m. March 30, 2009
I love Glenn Beck. He's my kind of guy.
Anothermouse | 12:52 p.m. March 30, 2009
"Who are the disaffected Americans? TAXPAYERS and freedom loving Americans who can govern themselves just fine without an overreaching, overintrusive, punitive and abusive "big brother" running our lives, confiscating our property and rights!
Roberta | 12:52 p.m. March 30, 2009

I got a DVR just to record Glenn. I was jazzed when I heard that Glenn was leaving CNN and going to Fox. Then I find out that he's on at 2:00pm out here on the left coast. I also record Neil Cavuto.
Tom F | 12:52 p.m. March 30, 2009
Fox News is not conservative! It has some conservative hosts, and some liberal hosts. Other networks are devoid of conservative thought, making Fox News look right-wing by comparison.

Are there any conservatives with their own shows on other networks? No. Are there liberals with their own shows on Fox? Yes. Is this because conservatives are unpopular? Certainly not.

Clearly it is the rest of the mainstream media that is biased, since it only allows one side to have a legitimate voice.
D Heiner | 12:52 p.m. March 30, 2009
Glen Beck is awesome. I loved to watch him when he was on CNN, unfortunately I'm still at work when he comes on Fox. His book "The Christmas Sweater" is a fantastic book. If anyone reads that book and doesn't shed a tear, they have a cold cold heart. I hope Glen is on forever.

Yes.... Glenn we do surround them! Tea Party!
tyrone curry | 12:55 p.m. March 30, 2009
I have met glenn several times. Years ago he put on a rally for america, which met in west virginia. It really was amazing his ability to connect with the real american.
my family and I flew and drove to the event from california. When I had a few minutes alone with glenn I told him that what he is doing is unlike anyone else and that he is a bull horn for all of us that go unheard. He is a very humble man and his family is simply wonderful.
I hope that Glenn keeps up the great work of preaching the truth!
We must protect our country from those within that are shredding our constitution.
Not a Paul Fan | 12:56 p.m. March 30, 2009
But a huge Beck Fan!
jim | 12:56 p.m. March 30, 2009
Beck is not only a captivating entertainer, but also a great teacher. He has provided numerous book reviews that any viewer can be self-taught, less ignorant, and encouraged. His view is from the founding of our fathers, and not RED and BLUE states.
The rallying cry is Constitution, Liberty, Principles and Morality, not politics.
