did not like him at first, but now can't get enough of him
Les | 11:17 a.m. March 30, 2009
I used to watch Glenn Beck when he was in CNN, when he moved to Fox News I switched channel too. I don't watch CNN which a lot my friends find disturbing as I'm a lifetime democrat, but adheres to the Constitution; and that doesn't bode well with my fellow Democrats. Beck opened my eyes what the party I used to support since I was 18 was all about and I do not like it. CNN will continue to lose audience, the same with MSNBC.
devoid | 11:17 a.m. March 30, 2009
The Beck and Fox success is all about how CNN, MSNBC, NY Times have failed. TV/cable is a true democracy and the viewers have voted. NY Times and CNN have gotten the message and have changed ever so slightly. Whats not mentioned is while Beck was on CNN he had the highest rated show for that DEM network. Bush failed and failed as a republican. To label all republicans as failed ignores the huge fact that DEMs failed too. We are well on our way right now to swing back due to O-Bam-A.

Glen has been around for years,he had been on CNN, he is refreshing as he tells it like it is. The Left is afraid of him. Rather listen to Beck than "Keith the Mad Dog Doberman" He is the most hatefull person on TV. Glen does not spin it nor does he let his guests put a spin on it. It is high time to have some truth about Washinton.
david | 11:18 a.m. March 30, 2009
I love how Glenn Beck is making the left-wing loons go crazy. I watch his show everyday because he is telling the truth that all of the other media outlets are NOT saying. Great job Glenn, will watch your show everyday!
Jaeboyz | 11:19 a.m. March 30, 2009
As many already said, May God Bless Glenn Beck for standing up to wrong. His words are well thought of and the meaning is just as good as the content. Fox News is real lucky to have their evening line-up that they have. Obamas election turned out to be a gold mine for them. The democrats are such an easy target for the right that this election was a gift. I pray that Glenn continues to be outspoken against the wrong direction that our country is heading.
dave | 11:21 a.m. March 30, 2009
Remember in 'The Lion King', where Scar takes over and gives that glorious speech about the league between the Lions and the Hyenas? Sounds much like an Obama or Hillary speech, doesn't it?

But think of all the people risking their lives to get back to the worker's paradise in Cuba. Looks like we will have all the benefits of Cuba's policies here - and soon! Hail Obama!
Harry | 11:21 a.m. March 30, 2009
When Beck talks about 9/11 is he talking about 9/11/1857 ? This is the date of the Mountain Meadows massacre where Mormon fanatics killed dozens of men , womren and children in the name of their God. Beck has never addressed this terrorism.
John Sloan | 11:21 a.m. March 30, 2009
Beck is so frenetic....I sometimes have to go to another channel....no doubt he is enthusiastic.
peggy | 11:22 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glen Beck is funny, informed and he really cares about our country. If you don't like him, don't watch him.
Beerman | 11:23 a.m. March 30, 2009
Beck is just another voice of the right. The country is too polarized. Whichever side is out of power attacks the other. The truth is that Bush failed and now it's Obama's turn. 2010 will be the referendum on his actions. I beg that we stop attacking each other and start discussing things in a rational matter.

Truth is that the US is largely run by corporations. The right and the left fight over the little stuff while they rob us blind.

Bush was a corporate shill. Obama ran on and won on being on the side of the people. We shall soon know the truth. Many things he has done so far I agree with, some things not so much. 2010 will reveal much.
Phil | 11:23 a.m. March 30, 2009
The nation needs to listen to Beck. For those of you that think the curent economic problem was caused by conservatism, you need to take a really hard look at your interpretation of the truth. Beck is a conservative that invites very intelligent people on his show to hopefully get the point across that this country is heading down the wrong path. For those of you that think this administration with all its spending is going to make our situation better, just wait, we will all see. It never has before but all you people putting blind trust in Obama are going to see how you have been ramshackled. Beck is our Paul Revere. Better listen to him.
Bryan | 11:23 a.m. March 30, 2009
Hey, "Not Sure", I think you are missing the point. I know few conservatives that even like the Republicans, including myself. This is not a Rep vs Dem issue, it's a Con vs Lib issue. Don't equate those two to any particular party, you'd be remissed in doing so.

Beck is mostly blubber. All talk, no action, like most people in this country. Whine, scream, moan, complain... this is the nation of "Yadda Yadda Yadda". What we need is a good, old fashion, down home, country-cooking-style bloody revolution. Seriously, the country is too polarized for half of it to live with the other half. Eight years of Bush bashing will do that.

Proof positive that 2.2 million American viewers are complete an utter idiots.
Thomas S. Stein MBA | 11:24 a.m. March 30, 2009
What's all the fuss? Somebody tries to take over communications and lines of supply of the US and this guy goes nuts. Shed a tear for the running dogs Beck! You capitalist rotor!
Seeing Red in a Blue State | 11:24 a.m. March 30, 2009
You go Glenn - it has been an uphill climb since WELI - I am so proud of your voice! This government is making slaves of us all.

re: steve | 9:12 a.m. March 30, 2009

>>maybe there is hope for american after all.

Its about time we start getting some REAL news and REAL commentary than that dyke Rachel Maddow and that loser Olberman.

maybe there is hope after all<<

Oh, look. A Classy conservative or not.
uly | 11:26 a.m. March 30, 2009
Beck talks about the founding principles, the constitution, and individualism vs statism. and his enemies call him a nut for it. That shows how out of touch liberals are with the principles that created this great country, and which Obama seems hell-bent on destroying as quickly as possible.

Don't criticize him if you haven't seen him. He implores all his listeners to read and be informed, to be active. Those are the same things Obama encouraged people to do, and he was paraded as a messiah for it. The only difference, Beck just talks about how people can be informed, whereas Obama actually uses the force of the gun (IRS tax code) to take away our freedoms and ruin any incentive for capitalism to thrive.

If you don't like capitalism, if you think it stinks, you are entitled to those beliefs, but there are 100 other countries that would suit you better. Can we please have 1 country where freedom still reins, and people are allowed to pursue happiness without the government mandating their doctor, their compensation, their benefits, etc?
Les | 11:26 a.m. March 30, 2009
There was a LOT of FIRST TIME for me last year because of Beck. First time, this lifetime Democrat campaigned for Republican candidate for President, I knocked on doors, distribute flyers and proudly wore a pin "Democrat proudly supporting John McCain", first time also I voted straight Republican ticket. I did not leave the Democratic Party, the party left me. Next year I'll join other volunteers and campaign for Republican candidates in my state. The Democratic Party makes me sick!
Betteanne | 11:26 a.m. March 30, 2009
I love Glen ,but wait I'm 81 and believe in everything he says. Just open up your ears and listen really listen. God Bless Glen.!!.
Anonymous | 11:27 a.m. March 30, 2009
It is simple and straight forward: Beck tells it like it is and if you live in an alternate reality (which most uberleft/right do) then of course you don't understand or agree. Gee, what is new? It is too late for most to retake the actual history of this country and Western thought so a lot won't every truly understand. They can only resort to the hatred spewed all over the media!!
carmine | 11:27 a.m. March 30, 2009
Beck: the white male Oprah wannabe for red necks. Far too much feelings, intuition and sighing post-12 step nonsense to be an authentic conservative intellectual in my book, keep the sweater.
Pat & Joe | 11:28 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glen:
We think you are one of the most informed individuals on the air today. We appreciate you bringing out the misgivings of our present government officials. Keep up the good work!
Afterheart | 11:28 a.m. March 30, 2009
It is important to understand that many of the negative Glenn Beck comments on this site are the result of blogging house hacks hired by the Democrat party to plant disinformation and negative comments regarding any pro-conservative, anti-Obama articles. This is happening all over the Web. The fact is that most Americans still love their country and recognize the tyranny and evil the Dems and Obama are perpetrating on this country.
Georgia Man | 11:29 a.m. March 30, 2009
I wish we had more people in the mainstream media like Glenn Beck.He is one of the very few that is not a party loyalist. He sticks it to the Republicrats equally when they deserve it, which is pretty much all the time now. The Republicrats are destroying this country, they are destroying the freedoms that made this country great, and it is about time we had someone stand up and say, "I'm as mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!!!" Thank God for Glenn Beck.
Ernest T. Bass | 11:29 a.m. March 30, 2009
Who is this guy? I have never heard of him!!
Anonymous | 11:30 a.m. March 30, 2009
As compare to Racael Maddow, Glenn is not as masculine!
fred | 11:30 a.m. March 30, 2009
If Beck wasn't hitting a nerve that had a grain of truth in it then the Obamba bots in the mainstream media wouldn't be so worked up over him. The average guy and gal out here is sick of Washington style BS and the PC speak. We want a clearly outlined solution to our problems. We want it in plain English.Obama backing our car warranties is just some more feel good hogwash that doesn't do anything to reassure the common man about the his frustration. Glenn gives those frustrations a voice, something the mainstream media would never do.He is simply a spokesman for a segment of a frustrated working class.
theduck6 | 11:31 a.m. March 30, 2009
As Glenn says, it isn't left and right it's right and wrong.

Could this have been written with more caveats, qualifiers when praise was unavoidable or more wishy-washy?
Patti | 11:32 a.m. March 30, 2009
I adore Glenn Beck. We need a ton more people like him.

I can see him pushing past O'Reilly...
Kreplakistan | 11:32 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn was one of the few people to accurately predict the market crash of last fall. Had we listened to him, we'd be a much wealthier nation right now.

Glenn is predicting additional turbulence ahead....so fasten your seat belts.
Me | 11:34 a.m. March 30, 2009
It is about time that we had someone that speaks what he feels. I am so tired of hearing the politicians speak out of both sides of their mouths,(I was going to say another part of the anatomy but)just to get re-elected.
sammie | 11:34 a.m. March 30, 2009
Brian: Did you not get the idea of the article? The man is popular and like it or not, it's going to work. With Glenn's help, the intelligent and patriotic people of this country will tell your Obama just where he can stick is socialist ideas.
CarlPio | 11:36 a.m. March 30, 2009
So let me get this straight - if you like Glenn Beck then you a sick twisted freak - so much for civility. I guess when you can't give a cogent, intelligent argument and get involved in a spirited discussion then you have to stoop to mudslinging, verbal venom, and name calling.
ALL AMERICAN HAWK | 11:37 a.m. March 30, 2009
YAY BECK! YOU ARE THE VOICE OF SANITY IN THIS MESSED
UP COUNTRY.KEEP SPEAKING THE TRUTH AND MAYBE WE
CAN TAKE BACK THE WHITE HOUSE AND CONGRESS FROM OBAMA
AND HIS SOCIALIST DEMOCRAT COMMIE CRONIES IN 2012!
Anonymous | 11:37 a.m. March 30, 2009
I really appreciate Glenn's perspective on the news. Connecting the dots is something few Americans have time to do, and Glenn does it exceptionally well. After years of dumbing down and revisionist history, Americans need the occasional history lessons he includes on his show. Keep up the great work! America needs you.
Linda
Nicole | 11:38 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn speaks the truth, he's not just a partisan hack like so many others. That's what makes him different and why he's so popular.
thinker | 11:39 a.m. March 30, 2009
Hay Keith have you listened to Beck, try it you just might learn something, it's call truth and honesty.
DetectiveDick | 11:39 a.m. March 30, 2009
Beck is speaking for Real Americans, he is the Anti-Progressive. Wake-up America before you are issued Brown shirts. Support Glenn Beck and support his sponsors.
Arthur Durnan | 11:39 a.m. March 30, 2009
GLENN BECK FOR U.S. PRESIDENT.....NOW!!
ANN COULTER FOR U.S. V.P..........NOW!!
Mimsey | 11:42 a.m. March 30, 2009
These so-called executives from the other networks never would have believed that a 5:00 early evening show would leave their mediocre shows in the dust with ratings. Of course since they scoff at the truth, haven't values or morals, don't know what is in our Constitution and don't care and riducules anyone with faith in God they are totally confused and very envious of Glenn's success. Also they revert to vicious name calling of anyone successful like Glenn because they are vacant empty suits.
Otis | 11:42 a.m. March 30, 2009
May the invisible spaghetti monster bless Glenn Beck.
Mike | 11:42 a.m. March 30, 2009
Beck is awesome. Finally someone who isn't afraid of saying what millions of us are feeling about BOTH parties.
Omega2 | 11:43 a.m. March 30, 2009
I would take 1 million of Glenn Becks to one of the MARXIST Obama's. The truth will out.
Pete Kent | 11:43 a.m. March 30, 2009
Beck is no nut job. He is reacting to a world torn topsy-turvy by Barack Obama who every days moves us further and further along a path of destruction that could become so dire that the Left will finally have the excuse is looking for to take totalitarian control of America. I'd rather have a bit of Beck hysteria than Obama's command and control society.

Glenn Beck is awesome. Its time we as Americans stand up to this adminstration. This adminstration is BAADD!!!!
Sherry Royal | 11:45 a.m. March 30, 2009
Beck is the best! What would we do without people like him and Bill O'Rielly.
Not so Old in FL | 11:45 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glen Beck is a "Life Boat in a Sea of Insanity". He speaks for the majority of Americans who have no voice. We sit helplessly watching our once beautiful and proud country slip away. We will have a voice in 2010 and vote all the morons both Republicans and Democrates out of Office. We will then stand together!!!! Rock on Glenn Beck!!!!
joe | 11:45 a.m. March 30, 2009
GB is right on target. Another great voice while we are still the USA
AngryTaxPayer | 11:46 a.m. March 30, 2009
In response to "Bro Joseph", posted on 1:38 a.m. March 30, 2009....
Beck's idol "Bush"??!? You have got to be kidding. Beck ostracized Bush every singe time GWB made a decision that was not conservative.

And a few typical replies, "Never watched Beck, never will...." either preceded or followed with, "Beck is a liar and a nut" is just your standard modus operandi for the Libs and Dems.

Keep pushing, Glenn! We'll stand behind you and beside you every step of the way!
