Glenn is only expressing the frustration we all feel. The problem is not Democratic vs. Republican. It is the politicians. Keep in mind if all the so called republicans and some blue dog Democrats had a back bone and stood together and stopped Queen Nancy and King Reed as well as the Anointed One dead in their tracks.

The problem as I see it is too many have been in those seats too long and gotten the God complex and that we are too dumb to decide for ourselves how to manage our lives. The financial crisis was clearly due to failed oversight and greed by the congress.

Throw them out on their assess come 2010.

The Heritage Foundation will provide a free copy of the Constitution. Get it, read it and hopefully understand it. And after that reply as to whether or
not you think that Obama and the Democratic Congress are violating it or not. I happen to think they are trampling on it.

So regardless of what you think of Glenn Beck, he seems to have respect for the Constitution.

Glenn Beck is a complete phony. When his radio show came out of Philly years ago, he was what you might call a moderate. He's done nothing but take the Fox News game plan to his old act. It's all about ratings and when you play a character who "doesn't really know what he's talking about, but gives his opinion" and you've got these sycophantic viewers and internet commenters who think he's not just putting on an act for the camera, that's truly frightening.

I am totally amazed that Glenn Beck is still on the air. He regularly insults his listeners, calling them freaks! He has admitted to smoking pot everyday for 10 years, which will alter anyones brain forever. His voice sounds like a cartoon character, which is good because his reasoning matches that of a cartoon. I really question the future of our country, when people such as Beck have an audience.
Jay | 9:31 a.m. March 30, 2009
If you don't agree with the negro snake oil salesman you're a "right wing loony", "clown" or "nut job"? I thought the whole premise behind the social change chant of the 60's was about peace, love and understanding coupled with our rights to free speech. The current bunch of Black politicans is hardly adhering to that mantra. It's accuse, get even and blame, with the President being the ring leader. That's not leading,it's following. Now who's the nutcase?
Ross | 9:31 a.m. March 30, 2009
As much as I like O'Reilly and Hannity, Beck is even better, and even better than Limbaugh who repeats himself over and over. I have about a 15-20 minute drive in the morning. I start with Limabaugh just as he comes on the air. I listen to Limbaugh for the first few minutes, get the "jist" of what he's going to say all day, then switch to Glenn for the details and straight talk without the theatrics. Don't get me wrong, Limbaugh is funny and entertaining, as he knows he is, but a little goes a long way for me. I'll take Glenn over all of them.

"Sheeple", like Leo above, who have bought into the Hiler-like adoration of Obama need to calm down and assess what is going on. There is so much similarity to the rise of Hitler and the downfall of the Weimar Republic that it is scary. No, I'm not saying Obama is a Hitler, but there is enough similarity in his corrupt, fascist administration to be very scary. If Leo and others don't think this administration is fascist they'd better get an education in fascism; it always comes from the left, which includes academia and the irresponsible media that grows to a point you can't believe a thing they write any longer.

Hey NYT, your article should have stated that there are as many liberals as conservatives who watch the Fox News Channel. Your liberal shows are no where near that. But then you would be printing the truth and you couldn't or wouldn't do that would you?
Pat | 9:33 a.m. March 30, 2009
Hey - Glen Beck rocks!! Obama and his cronies (the demo-dummiee - Reid and Pelosi) are out to destroy America as we know it! Glen keeps us informed and tells it like it is!!!!
Anonymous | 9:33 a.m. March 30, 2009
I am 150% behind you, Glenn!! You are right on! Keep up the good work!!!

I am waiting for the orwellian-reichstag event to occur. I've tuned into Glenn Beck and agree with some of what he has to say.
Lisa | 9:35 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glen tells the truth .The people that bash him obviously voted for Obama and expect to get money in some form through this administration, but they wont and then they will turn on him but that will take time .Common sense is all it takes to see through all of this. All the kids that voted for him did it for free college or the end of the war and neither will happen. Glen is passionate about what he is saying .I wish America would open their eyes before its too late. It's a slippery slope and were sliding ....
Walter | 9:35 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn is a no-holds-barred straight-up commentator. He calls-em as he sees-em. Perhaps that is why he makes some people uncomfortable. I find Beck to be a breath of fresh air.
sjs | 9:36 a.m. March 30, 2009
this is so scary! despite what beck says, look at what so many of the commenters are wrting: threatening violence, acting as if they're under attack, freaking out. as a conservative i am so tired of the freaky fringe element of the party. you all have to regroup and get your act together and stop playing the victim! as for me, i am proud to support obama despite being a conservative. he deserves a chance and i belive in the USA and think we're going to come out just great! all of the doomsday gloom and doom weirdos out there are going to be satisfied if we fail and they get to say i told you so, but as for me, I am uniting behind OUR president the way a patriot should.

in the olden days, the court jester was the only
one who could say what was true and not be put
to death by the king or his henchmen, maybe just
maybe ? ps the truth is not always pretty
Valerie | 9:37 a.m. March 30, 2009
Love Glenn Beck...Listen to him every Morning and have my high school daughters loving him in the evening...my family gathers to watch and talk about the issues :))
SunnyVan | 9:37 a.m. March 30, 2009
Disaffected and aggrieved? YES, we are! Never have our rights and the constitution been trampled on so viciously! At least Glenn Beck has the courage to speak out against our inept administration. That's more than I can say for all the spineless lawmakers who are a part of the problem, and are receiving monies from so many special interest groups that they don't know what direction to turn now. This country has gotten so far away from its founding morals and principles it is terrifying. Where will the era of "Democrats unleashed" end?
Janet Elliott | 9:39 a.m. March 30, 2009
No one I know watches Glenn Beck...They TIVO him EVERY day.....WHY????? Because we WORK during the day!!!! And we NEVER miss a show
Anonymous | 9:39 a.m. March 30, 2009
I love you Glen Beck. Keep it up!! We need somebody to stand up for good morals and to stand up for America the country we know of. Thanks, Jan in Ohio
maryj | 9:39 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn Beck is a racist, blubbering idiot....and I'm sure not afraid to tell him that or anyone else listening!!
urrherro | 9:39 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glen'
I am angry at the Catholic church, they have abondoned the unborn. I am angry at the socilalist direction the country is taking.
TankMurdock | 9:40 a.m. March 30, 2009
I am certainly frightened about this country's future. I have an almost 2 year old daughter who might not have a country around to be proud of. Glenn Beck is a voice that all Americans should at least listen to so we can realize the seriousness of what has happened in the past. Politicians, government officials, etc have taken advantage of we taxpayers walking the streets with "blinders" on and all of a sudden the place goes to hell in a hand basket. We put the blame on what has happened at that moment in time rather than looking at the issues as a whole and correcting them. I am thankful that Mr. Beck puts issues out there in plain non-colorful, non-MEDIA soaked fashion that anyone can understand. By doing what he does he is making everyone see what is happening and bringing those who "thought they were alone" together. I applaud everything he stands for and hope others will put down the bias opinions for a second and realize we can't do this without all "AMERICANS" uniting as ONE!!! Thanks Glenn!!!!
Minerva | 9:40 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn admits his faults -- and that is disarming.
Mike | 9:40 a.m. March 30, 2009
Beck is to Big Media what Ron Paul is to Big Guvment. Both have been ridiculed for their alarmist, sky is falling warnings about our nation's economic policies. Well... as it turns out, they were right. Now they get labeled as "angry". Well, heck, who wouldn't be? Neither men are geniuses for predicting the wreck our economy has become. Anyone who has ever balanced a checkbook or owned a credit card could see today's troubles coming from a mile away. Funny how those who label Beck as a "nutjob", "angry", whatever, never never NEVER comment on the points he makes on the issues. But then again, that's been Lefty's m.o. for years. Don't like the message? Rather than respond with a different viewpoint supported by different facts, attack the messenger. Lefty gets frustrated by Beck though because he's very open about his dirty laundry.

Clyde said: "One great thing about America...If Rupert wants to waste his money paying this crackpot, fine with me. I have every right never to tune in and watch this crybaby.

Never have and never will."

Now there is an open mind for you... Gotta love the kind and tolerant left...

God Bless Glenn Beck, God Bless America. I dare his detractors to watch for one week.
hollyintexas | 9:41 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn you are our saving grace from having blood shoot out of our eyes!!! Keep it up, the 9/12 project is the beginning of a revolution, Thanks for giving us a voice. We love you!!
yghake | 9:42 a.m. March 30, 2009
I started listening to Beck on the radio and when he switched to Fox, I started watching his show. It is a great show and those who criticize haven't seen it. By the way he always says don't take my word for it, study it yourself and make up your own mind. Additionally, he warned us about the economic meltdown almost two years before it happened.
kathy | 9:42 a.m. March 30, 2009
GOD BLESS AMERICA, LAND THAT I LOVE, STAND BESIDE HER AND GUIDE HER!!!
Tony | 9:44 a.m. March 30, 2009
In my humble opinion Beck is better than O'Reilly and Hannity. He does his research well and is not full of himself like Billy-O.
yoodles | 9:44 a.m. March 30, 2009
I recently was turned on to this guy and love him, I have been spreading the "beck" word. He "gets it" and I love his show.
Emilene C. Taylor | 9:44 a.m. March 30, 2009
Dearest Glenn, you are the answer to the truth of what is really going on in this great Country. I commend you for your honesty, intregrity and loyalty to all of us. You, are a Godsend.. Why are most Americans letting themselves be uninformed and lazy in finding out TRUTH.. Why do most listen to these vicious and destroying lies?? I say in looking for the truth, these people are becoming followers and of what??. Wake up Dummies, I call them. We must stop these liberals now.. They are destroying us by the second.. I am here for you and only wish I could do more to help,
Glenn, other than waiting to vote, its way too far away. Too much damage has already happened.. I'm scared!!!!!!!!!!
Jason | 9:44 a.m. March 30, 2009
The man even said it himself: He is a rodeo clown, an ENTERTAINER. It would be best to form your political opinions by looking at a variety of sources, rather than cable news pundits. Because they are entertainers, the bottom is line is the most important aspect of their work. They know how to get people riled up, and their ratings sky high: they just have to appeal to the lowest common denominator. I respect Glenn Beck, but he and the rest of the cable "news-tainment" industry are really ruining the country (Don't think I'm bashing on the conservative programs, the liberal ones are just as bad). Our nation was meant to operate with an enlightened republic. Watching 4 hours of evening cable news talk doesn't cut it. Go out an read the federalist papers, read some histoy, get into some political science, read a variety of sources on the internet/in the newpaper -- even some you don't agree with. You and the country will be far better off.
L Graves | 9:45 a.m. March 30, 2009
G Beck is just great, only problem he is on in the middle of the day in the West. Thanks for giving us some one that speaks the truth, as most of us do not have a voice. We have a preacher-salesman for a president, with little experience and socialist and Muslin leanings. It is frightening to say the least. Almost every one I know feels like this.
Matt in NC | 9:46 a.m. March 30, 2009
Beck is just cashing in on the anger and uncertainity felt by many (not most) Americans. I would hope that most Americans would stop listening to pundits on both sides (Maddow, O'Reily, Hannity, Oberman, etc.) and read, learn, and understand the issues and make their own decisions and points of view. I am bored with hearing others (neighbors and co-workers) regurgitate what the pundits spew!

Just ask Beck what his paycheck looks like these days!
Josh | 9:47 a.m. March 30, 2009
Most of these comments just make me sad. You're too busy cheering on your side with out any real thought towards it. Slamming Utah? Utah is one of the few states that is actually doing well. Do you wonder why or do you just write it off because it's full of Mormons and Republicans?

This country is doomed because you don't care about it. You just care about your political party.
Mike in Texas | 9:48 a.m. March 30, 2009
Once again, I want to disabuse you of the notion that America is "becoming" a "Socialist" state. We already are a "Socialist" state. If you want to get rid of socialism then you better be prepared to elimate public schools, librarys, police and fire departments, the Social Security Administration, National Forests and Parks, Medicare, and yes even the Armed Services. You know, when I served in the Air Force I had the best medical care I have ever had (including free dental services.

Hey, folks what if we privatised the Fire department, and you had a fire and they didn't come to put it out because you forgot to pay your fire department bill. Or, you decided to let your house burn because you just could not afford fire services after paying your property hazzard insurance. I bet your next door neighbors would love that scenerio.

It's amazing that some "people" and the liberal media dismiss 2.3 million (and growing) FOX viewers and vilify Glenn Beck by call him "clown" and "mad" yet there are 1.3 million "people" who watch that crazy irrelevant witch-hunter, Nancy Grace. Some how "clown" and "mad" fit her and her overly dramatic and ridiculous CSI-cartoon show. Even that rabid facist liberal Keith Obderman is a joke yet 1.2 million koolaid drinkers belly up every night for another shot of insanity. Whine all you want liberals. Glenn Beck is relevant and populous. He's tapped into how MOST Amercians really feel. Fly-over country is alive and still relevant.
donfrompasco | 9:49 a.m. March 30, 2009
term limits for congress and the senate...we need to get that going before we can fix anything...
FJM | 9:49 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn Beck IS what's wrong with America. Reactionary populism at it's most nauseating. Waving the big foam finger at the 'new' establishment and blaming them for the failures of their predecessors.
Americans who follow Glenn Beck are merely victims of their own inability to recognize their part in the USA's collapse; They have no concept of the necessary global influence on this country, because most of them have never left Kansas! Glenn Beck is not your champion. Glenn Beck wants you to wallow in the dark-ages because an enlightened populace means there IS no Glenn Back.

nohypehnamerican | 9:50 a.m. March 30, 2009
RECORD BECK AND WATCH LATER! He could be an Athiest, I don't care..He's honest and truthful.

is there a "tea-party" in or near Utah being planned?

ALSO, WRITE TO YOUR CONGRESSMAN...AND GET OUT AND VOTE....2010 IS COMING UP FAST!!!

DON'T VOTE FOR "HISTORIC", "COLOR", "RELIGION",
That's what got us in the mess we're in...VOTE FOR PEOPLE THAT ARE IN TOUCH WITH YOU AND YOUR VALUES..

If you're in Nevad or Ca...work to vote out Reid and Peolsi. Yes, there are people in those states that receive this newspaper.

When that voting booth curtain closes..nobody, nobody, nobody knows how you vote..
Tyler Durden | 9:50 a.m. March 30, 2009
Listen up, maggots. You are not special. You are not a beautiful or unique snowflake. You're the same decaying organic matter as everything else.
Go Glenn | 9:50 a.m. March 30, 2009
He hits the nail right on the head.
Don't worry about the hateful comments on the blog, most are from the same group who monitor these articles and then hurry and respond as a group divided up into individual people to appear to have a broad consensus. Most belong to the Gay lobby trying to destroy the right and bully anyone feeling the least bit conservative into submission.... or at the least silence!
A hateful bunch to say the least.
Mike | 9:50 a.m. March 30, 2009
Three points:
[1]-- Beck is a strange guy, very emotional, off the reservation in his comments. But he properly recognizes plenty to be upset about in the way Obama is settling in to his presidency.
[2]-- The NYT is at least as far off the reservation (in the opposite direction) in their treatment of the "news" -- "NEWS" for them is reduced to pure liberal political opinion.
[3] -- FOX is much more evenly balanced than the other cable news sources, or the NYT, or mainstream news sources, IMO -- but by contrast to the other "news sources", may at first SEEM one-sided.

move over rachel maddow? not even in the same ballpark with glen.
Optimistic | 9:52 a.m. March 30, 2009
I do believe there are enough true Americans that will undo the decisions of this bozo in the white house Its about time they wake up & listen to Glen Beck, Rush & Hannity. The Repubs need to get Mark Levin to lead a ticket back to sanity.

Agreed. What does it say about the Church when the 2 most prominent members are Mitt & Glenn?

re: BeckFan | 6:04 a.m. March 30, 2009

You're kidding right? Glenn is on the 2nd tier of AM talk Radio hate mongers. The only thing I can't decide is who is he trying to emulate; Rushie or pretty boy Sean?
Oh Please | 9:53 a.m. March 30, 2009
Beck is nauseating. His incompetent, uneducated maunderings make no sense. He is entirely "fact free," abusing the truth at high volume for hours each day. But he's getting awfully rich doing it, so why should he worry?
James Holesapple | 9:54 a.m. March 30, 2009
I view Glenn Beck as a voice of reason and truth at a time when the fanatical and liberal agenda (led by Obama, Pelosi and Reid) has this nation on a bullet train to socialism.

We need more people with pitchforks willing to stand for the US Constitution and the Declaration of Independence rather than shredding our founding documents and the nation for which they stand.

Our founders left a socialized state where the king or queen owned, ruled and determined the religious affiliation of their subjects. Now more than 200 years later through bailouts and economic crisis, we appear as a nation to willingly subject ourselves again to the tyranny of a flawed state that rejects the notion of an invisible creator God replacing Him with the State Almighty.

Rome burns and far too many Americans are looking for marshmallows and hot dogs to roast, rather than water to stop the flames. Glenn Beck is a firefighter leading the charge. Will he lead alone? Will he fight alone?
