I found Beck an embarrassment to watch the few times I stumbled upon him when he was on CNN. He clearly loves to listen to his own voice and babblings and the moment I got the gist of his "rantings", I would laugh and changed the channel. I tried to take him seriously, but he obviously has serious issues of his own. I kept thinking that he belonged more on Fox than anywhere else, and then lo and behold, he went over to the Dark Side, where he obviously belongs. Now I know I'll never accidentally come across his ravings, because my remote won't go to that network of Hate.

Whether it's the real thing or just a theatrical persona, "Glenn Beck" comes across as a very creepy child molester, unhinged and hysterical. If you see him in an alley or subway station late at night walk the other way. On TV he's harmless.
Luv Beck BUT..... | 8:24 a.m. March 30, 2009
I think Beck is great. I have now added him to my "must watch shows". However, I don't see why so much focus has to be devoted to GOD? I tolerate his over use of GOD (just as most everyone on FOX over uses GOD-but FOX is still number 1 for me) because I believe the rest of his message and I can't find ANY non-religious conservatives.

Can they keep their religion at home? They have enough issues to gain supporters without having to alienate all those that don't want any reference to GOD made while discussing the solutions to this country's problems. I have nothing against a persons choice of religion, but why not keep that at home and church?

Glen Beck is a GREAT American who speaks the truth. Good job Glen! Keep up the great work you do!

Glenn just LOVES his country!!!!
Roy | 8:24 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn Beck understands more about life than all of the liberals put together. Obama and his ilk are ruining our country and our way of life. The difference between conservatives and liberals is really very simple, it's a difference between right and wrong.
Congress will swing back to conservatives in 2010 and then we'll get rid of Obama in 2012. We'll still be able to get things back into proper order. He won't be able to get anything done his last two years with a Republican congress, so we'll just have to undo his first two years.
PattyDaddy | 8:24 a.m. March 30, 2009
Beck is an effective huckster. He is kind of like a car wreck you can't help but look. He along with Maddow, Limbaugh, and the MSNBC sportscaster turned opinionator (what's his name?) and the rest are effective shills for the shake-down machine that is TV. It would be great to have someone on who in a conversationial tone asks the hard questions and insists on answers. Look closely at the Republicans and Democrats pointing fingers hoping to deflect any blame and thus convincing the dumbmasses to give them their vote the next time around.

Will there ever be an intellegent reasoned approach to governing? Probably not, as long as we are drawn to the sensational we will continue to be batted back and forth by the media and politicians like a hockey puck.

Wise up folks they do not have your best interests in mind. Caveat Emptor. Fend for yourself, loved ones, and those in need and Trust Jesus.

glenn beck is the most honest man on t.v. - every word he says is heart-felt and i agree with him that americans are losing their ability to see what is going on around them with the people in office who are power grabbing like at no other time in history - if we don't wake up NOW we will not recognize america as we have known it and it has been since its inseption! the fact that he has risen to the top of the charts is proof that people need to hear what he is saying and now we must act on it - that means getting rid of pelosi, reid, barney frank, shumer, dodd, and all the other hate america crowd!!!!!!!!! i can hardly wait until 2010 to clean house in washington and put in people who listen to us and honestly care about the country GO 2010
petra | 8:25 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn is fantastic...funny, provacative..intelligent guests..
Clearly many of those responding negatively have not watched the show...
So criticize away, the ideas he brings forth are truths we are proud of.
Individuality, free thinking, the right to disagree
(something the left has a problem with)
Thanks Glenn for a great show. you make me laugh

The patriots are uniting. The Libertarians, Freedom loving motorcycle riders, the military and veterans, home schooler moms, tradesman and the blue collar workers. Something big is coming. It time to choose a side!
crazeemama | 8:26 a.m. March 30, 2009
Thanks Glen....Great show....I too am worried for our country....Lets get term limits and get rid of some of these clowns (not rodeo-like you). Some of them have been in there too long and know how to get what they can from the system....and it isn't always for the good of the country....Country first and then the party.. They need to be reminded of this. Keep after them Glen...we are with you....
Not sure??? | 8:26 a.m. March 30, 2009
Talk about Uninformed. Look up who created and propigated the current lending methodologies. Who created this bill in 1977: Community Reinvestment Act (CRA.) Now, learn, grow up and stop pounding Bush. I am not his biggest fan for many reasons, but he inherited this mess. electing Obama to get us out of it is like electing the old sick dog to round up the sheep.
Jeremy | 8:26 a.m. March 30, 2009
Some of the comments here reveal the blatant misinformation. Those who listen to or watch Glenn on a regular basis know that he is neither Republican nor Democrat. He speaks for the people and years for a return to the values and principles that made this country great! He calls out politicians on both sides of the aisle. Beck admits that Bush had a terrible last few years and misled the American people. Beck was also opposed to John McCain during the last election.

Those saying he is a puppet of the RNC are truly misinformed. I thought he was also until I started to tune in to his broadcasts. He says what he means and means what he says; he truly is saying the things that most people are scared to say.

If anything, we need more voices like his today.
JFIT | 8:27 a.m. March 30, 2009
The liberal minded is so bent and twisted it cant handle the Truth !!!

Your messiah speaks blasphemies against the consititution not by words, but by his evil and satanic works.. Obama and his gang, ooops I mean his congress, is truly an obomination to this country.
Avitar | 8:27 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn Beck is the opposite of Timothy McVeigh. Glenn Beck seeks to rally the American people to make the broken system work. Glen Beck is raising a general level of awareness of just how wrong things are.
Timothy McVeigh was an army trained explosives expert who went down, looked for himself, and saw what the FBI had done at Waco. Timothy McVeigh chose to go down to the FBI's level and fight it on its own terms where the FBI could use the might of the Fascist Progressives to crush any visible uprising. He became the kind of American that the FBI wants. He was the kind of American who openly rebels against progressive rule so that they can be smashed flat.
mhotovy | 8:27 a.m. March 30, 2009
Think what you will about Beck, but he's been ahead of the socio-economic curve by at least a year over any other commentator in the game. Listening to Beck has saved my 401k thousands. I get it that his presentation might be too apocolyptic for many, but if you can glean his objective points, he's been spot on...
Jenny | 8:28 a.m. March 30, 2009
I love Glenn Beck! I bet those that are criticizing him now have never watched his show. The thing that makes me so sick with the left is how ugly, nasty and mean they are you get absolutely no debate and intelligent conversation with them, its just call names and insult those you disagree with. They things they said about President Bush were awful and a lot of it was very untrue and unfair. But now if anyone has any valid criticism against President Obama, we are viciously attacked again by the left. They have no tolerance for anyone who might disagree with them. I mean Bush would have been criticized heavily if he had to use a teleprompter all the time and could not even call a press conference without one and you know it but Obama gets a free pass like always. I wish the ugly left would just go away and take their President with them!
Nick from Fussa | 8:28 a.m. March 30, 2009
The freedoms so valliantly gained by our ancestors are in danger. The more control we give over to the government, the less free we become. Glenn is sounding the alarm. He is doing a great job at that. Those who are just comming to know Glenn may think he is a mouth piece for the right. He was as almost as hard on Bush as he has been on Obama. Limited government and liberty have been under assault by both parties. Glenn is a very small voice - but a voice that is getting louder now that he has the ratings that only Fox News can provide. The words of Thomas Paine and our founders are being echoed by Mr Beck. I for one am grateful that thes sentiments are not yet lost. Glenn is right - we are not alone!
BBF | 8:29 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glen has finally given the old "silent majority" a voice. He is the modern Paul Revere shouting "socialism is comming !" which is patently true with the ascendance of the hard left(communists) as evidenced by the election of BO, who was educated by communists at all stages of his life. His grandparents were communists, his mentors and teachers all communists, so what do you expect from someone educated by them ? All I can say is "GO GLEN GO !!!!!!!!!!!" The fact that all gun stores are sold out of ammunition and guns because so many Americans are arming for the comming confrontation with the government says it all. Even some former"liberals" are arming themselves !!
Interested | 8:29 a.m. March 30, 2009
It's hard to add any more to this conversation it has all been said. I had no ides of Glenn's religion. As most Americans I am "blind" to these so called things that isolate us ie:religion, race, color, gender (I can't remember all of them) etc. We are all in this together. From dust we came and to dust we go.
WH | 8:30 a.m. March 30, 2009
UH... You do know that even during the Democratic Primaries (and I'd invite you not only to look this up, but publish it so that the writer of this story can be spanked on the hand for 'contextual blundering') Fox News was destroying every other network by MILLIONS of viewers in virtually ALL time slots, right?

They could hardly be labled as the sinking ship that needed to be righted -- as the author likes to infer. In most cases, the only variations that could be found is that there were times when Fox News evening programming went from their normal average to well beyond their normal average -- hint... ...they weren't 'teetering on the brink' of losing their audience. The only thing that Fox News didn't have was a 'drive-time' news show -- but then again, neither did CNBC, CNN or MSNBC!

Never in the history of this country have we had all industry sectors shutting down their business. Many more business's will be leaving our shores because of the policies being implemented. This is much bigger than the 30"s. For those waiting for the green jobs, I hope you don't starve before they happen, because the enviro gods will have their say and stall any progress (ask Senator Fienstein).
I really feel sorry for those who voted for the dismanteling of our Constitution and our Country because they will be affected the most. Atleast Beck is waking up the masses, I pray it is not to late!
WH | 8:31 a.m. March 30, 2009
(cont.)

What Glenn managed to do was to take a traditional 'death time slot' and not only bring it up and to the forefront, he mowed over not only his time slot competition, but it must be noted that he kicked the crud out of that punk Olberman and indeed left even the programs in the 8pm time slot (save O'Reilly) from the other netwroks -- right in the dust.

While I like Glenn and am proud of how he has destroyed the competition (and in my opinion... ...rightfully so!), I do object to this inference that Fox News was wavering before Beck came to that organization, they were solidly on top before his arrival.
J King | 8:32 a.m. March 30, 2009
As always, name-calling is what passes for argument among liberals. I read only a few lib posts and I read that Glenn Beck is a nut, a liar, a right-wing looney, sleazy, big mouth, crackpot, clown, crybaby, and an embarrassment. Oh, and don't forget the insult to the state of Utah where, of course, people can't possibly be as intelligent and well-informed as those in Berkeley, Hollywood, and Manhattan. And then there's the obligatory swipe at Fox News.
Dave | 8:33 a.m. March 30, 2009
Everyone who gets something for free loves Obama. Mr. President, you can't keep squeezing the product part of the economy in order to fund the engorgement of the unproductive. The problem, sir, is that soon you will run out of our money. You know it. We know it. And you know that we know its nonsense. Stop the printing presses. Reduce the budget by half or more. End the programs. Stop taking on a penny more of debt immediately. Make sure there are just enough saftey nets to help the truely destitue. Tell everyone to hunker down. Prepare for two bad years. And all will be well. At the present rate we will be indebted and unemployed and losing captial for twenty years or more.
Gutsygirl | 8:34 a.m. March 30, 2009
Although I think Glenn is more emotion than intellect he shares my values and stands for something! He also has O'Reilly shaking in his boots; they need to change time slots.
notjustany1 | 8:34 a.m. March 30, 2009
You have my attention!!!! But do you think they (the cabal) cares? I am so afraid it's too late. They have us corralled in cities, taken control of our food and electric power supply, about to take away our only means of defense (2nd amendment), have made us totally dependent on them, and are leading us through to shoots toward our slaughter.
God gave us the power to prevent it when he gave us "free will". We chose not to exercise it. Our Founding Fathers gave us the tool to fight against "them" with the constitution. We became too complacent and comfortable with "them " providing for us and now we travel on the inevitable road Ben Franklin warned us about when he told the woman we have a "A republic, if you can keep it!. He realized all too well that security if far more appealing that freedom... I will never forget the feeling I had when Braveheart (William Wallace) cried FREEDOM as as Longshanks died... I guess Freedom comes when we have nothing left to lose.
Dawn | 8:34 a.m. March 30, 2009
He is the best, that is why so many people are watching and listening. Anyone who says different just look at the ratings.
Ben | 8:35 a.m. March 30, 2009
If there are that many out there struggling for direction and answers, then perhaps he is onto something. It seems quite obvious there were many more uninformed that voted for a president, not because of his qualifications, rather because they thought he was representative of some kind of change. That kind of mass exodus from common sense, seems far more reminicent of religion run amok.
Dave "THE CAR MAN" | 8:35 a.m. March 30, 2009
I just wish that he would get all over Acorn's case, and who in the HOUSE and SENATE sponsered that DIRTY outfit to get govt. $$ to run their COMMUNIST organization... WHO,WHO...???? Maybe Franks & Dodd, or Reid, or Schumer, or Boxer, or the senior senator from Ill. Who put ACORN on the bill???? BIG BIG RIP-OFF to USA TAX-PAYERS.. Period!!!!!

I have lost 60% of my savings and I am 70 years old; however, what keeps me awake at night is what this administration and the idiots in congress are doing to change our government! This is a nightmare!

i think obama has changed his name to obama chavez. america wake up!! he wants to get the health program so he can take the legacy costs at general motors and help his buddies at uaw. wake up! geichnar is setting up his buddies on wall street anxious to get to those trillions of dollars!
Leslie Jo | 8:36 a.m. March 30, 2009
To STILL be an Obama supporter is one of two things: ignorance or you are a communist like he is. Read the Constitution, people. Does it say anywhere that the government has the right to take over private banks and companies?? At this is only the beginning...luckily Barry will only be in office for four years.
~AA~ | 8:37 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn Beck is a truly sick and deeply disturbed man who seriously needs professional help. He is beyond paranoid and extremely delusional. If he didn't come across as such a clown and drama queen he might actually be dangerous.
Ranger_Ric | 8:37 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glen is a gem of truth in a media sewer full of obamma lovers who speak nothing but half truths and outright lies.

2010 - make him a lame duck

2012 - take it back

2012.1 - make the dems pay dearly
Glenn Haller | 8:37 a.m. March 30, 2009
Thank God for Glenn Beck. He is a voice of reason in a world that has turned irrational. God bless him.
Patti from NY | 8:37 a.m. March 30, 2009
Listen to the man! Have an open mind and you will have no choice but to agree he is right about most issues.

Lets see how long it takes before the Daily Show has him shown as a fool.
AnnEMous | 8:38 a.m. March 30, 2009
Beck is a man speaking common sense. Does anyone hear common sense from the left? All I see is their posturing and mantra of "You elected me" (so we are now playing my game with my rules and I don't care what any one else wants). Beck is speaking for all of us who want the game to be play fairly by common ground rules- not ones made up as you go along.
Jim R. | 8:39 a.m. March 30, 2009
Right On ---------God bless you. Jim
JR | 8:39 a.m. March 30, 2009
It's a simple math problem. There is no situation in normal life, from the individual to the corporate that has as an end result, financial security, when all you're doing is increasing your debt exponentially. Yet we're supposed to buy that as true from the Obama Administration and Congress?

THAT is why I nod my head often at Beck, he's echoing what I know to be true in the real world.

Obama had a chance and he blew it with the porkulus bill. He doesn't know what he's doing and that is dangerous, economically speaking. If he didn't move so fast, I wouldn't have judged so quickly.

Beck ain't my personal Jesus, but he's got something important to say. Listen and then make a judgement. A little too emotional fo rme, but I overlook that. It's the substance that matters.
Oldtimer | 8:39 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn Beck tells it like it is. He gives us history lessons that show leaders have taken over banks and business's in the past, in the name of national security and financial troubles and many freedoms were abridged. Remember Germany in the 1930's!! What is going on with the Obama regime to take over business's is unconstitutional according to the FOX News legal mind Mr. Napolitano.

Glenn Beck tells us to beware of any government that has the mainstream media in it's hip pocket. We need an unbiased media to protect our freedoms and we don't have it. The closest we have is Glenn Beck to inform us what the main stream media won't. Not only are we headed toward socialism, but possibly one with dictatorial powers, all due to this financial meltdown! Please take your head out of the sand, Obama's "change we can believe in" is change that could destroy the country we have loved and died for.
Ted | 8:39 a.m. March 30, 2009
Go Beck! Entertaining, very informative and right on the mark! Under BHO we are on the road to European socialism and bankruptcy!

BHO is a total disaster and only 60+ days into his term.
lizrab | 8:39 a.m. March 30, 2009

Glen Beck is on the same level as Limbaugh and
Coulter....stressing division and not unification
of the country....

He is a sad commentary of today's far right media.

and yes, I have watched his tirades!!!!

We need more men who are more reasonable to sort out the many problems facing us today. If Beck is
so sure of his ideas, why doesn't he run for congress and take a place of leadership (of course, it doesn't pay as much as Fox).

Beck should look to Mike Huckabee as an example.

Liz

Just my opinion | 8:39 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glen brings up good facts, but he acts often immature with his body, facial expressions and sounds like a little child asking for attention. He would be an excellent radio host though.
Richard | 8:40 a.m. March 30, 2009
I identify completely with Beck's analysis of our present day situation. The politicians aren't listening to us. They are a little club of elitists up there that pad their own pocketbooks with favors from corporations, and every special interest group imaginable and always at the expense of taxpayers. Beck is loud and angry. I completely concur with his anger. We are rapidly moving toward a revolution. When our representatives don't listen to us, what recourse do we have? More of Beck. Less of Nancy Pelosi, a complete idiot and the most partisan, next to Harry Reid in congress. Obama is just a lap dog for these two. No backbone to stand up to them or put them in their place. He is in general agreement with them anyway, so why should he make waves. We have been taken over by radicals and we have no voice or ability to stop them. REVOLUTION NOW!
Ernie Zenone, Sr. | 8:40 a.m. March 30, 2009
Is it any surprise that the left wants to shut down people like Glen Beck or Rush Limbaugh? The socialitst (hey- isn't that communists!!??) can't compete in a fair debate. They never have. Their classic operative is: cencorship But I have never seen such an open display of socialist legislation as we have now. I hope it wakes up people, espeically those who voted for Obama. I think we are seeing a shift already. God bless Glen Beck and Rush and all the rest who can speak for us!
As a Christian, we cease to be a nation of laws when our Constitution, based on Biblical law, is called a "living document" put into the hands of activist judges. The goal: no soverienty for the US and to put us and all nations under the power of the UN. A world government. Christianity, (traditional Biblical)would be soon outlawed and pastors arrested for 'hate crimes'. It's already happening elsewhere. The need for repentance is still the cry of the church to our generation as it was for Jesus and John the Baptist. Matthew 3:2 & 4:17.
William Post | 8:40 a.m. March 30, 2009
It astounds me that so many leftists acknowledge that they have never listened to Beck yet they feel comfortable with bashing him. I assume taht when they talk of being open minded they mean agreeing with them.
I also assume that when they talk of freedom of speech they mean for themselves only. Remember, it was the left that gave us politicly correct speech & hate crime legislation. Hate crime, where you can be jailed for what you think or say.
They would now like to limit freedom of speech further by instituting what they like to refer to as the benign sounding Fairness Doctrine. The real purpose of the so-called Fairness Doctrine is of course to silence voices on the right.
GOvernment tske over of businesses [Nationalization].Silencing of opposition voices through repressive laws. Fostering total dependency on government. If these things don't sound familiar to you you're the one who doesn't understand history.
Sandy | 8:41 a.m. March 30, 2009
I love it when people think that patriotism and love for this country belongs solely to the Repulicans. I hear this from Republicans all the time. Now they talk about how worried they are for the Constitution! What a joke! Where were they when our Constitution was actually being dismantled piece by piece by the Bush Administration? What we are actually witnessing now is the Contitution being put back together and the people on the right can't take it. God forbid things start getting better and they can't force themselves to acknowledge it. Just face it, you can listen to Fox all you want to make yourself feel better, but you should wake up and see what the right is really about and come to the center. Show your love for your country by your actions and stop bringing it down with this dangerous form patriotism. GOD BLESS AMERICA!
Jay | 8:42 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn Beck is a moron. One more nut on the Fox unbalanced wheel.
