This country was made great because we followed the Constitutionand instilled in our people that we were a "nation of laws." The leadership in Congress has thrown these concepts out the window. God Bless Glenn Beck a true patriot. Obama give us back our country!

By the way Rachael Maddow is a joke, no comparison to Glenn Beck. Please don't use their names in the same sentence.
Otter | 8:06 a.m. March 30, 2009
I hope more people listen to Glenn. He's right on so many issues. I hope people wake up before Obama and the (mostly)democrats bankrupt the country.

FOX News: Give us Beck after 5pm EST, or give us Death By Taxes!! Oh wait - we're going to get the latter. Just give Glenn his rightful place in PrimeTime, so We The Taxpaing Worker can watch him! Or Tell Obama to send me a free Tivo. Thx
FRANK | 8:07 a.m. March 30, 2009
Beck is right on the money 90% of the time. Obama and the Democrats are going to destroy this country if we let them. They are well on their way. If they pass cardcheck and socialized medicine, we will have a country with one party rule, just like Cuba or Venezuela.
macgrady | 8:07 a.m. March 30, 2009
What a relief to replace hitting by accident the lady who occupies this spot om NBC. She is obnoxious and I cannot stand to see her knowing her personal habits.
S.G. | 8:08 a.m. March 30, 2009
I watched Beck on Headline and continue to watch him on Fox. He is fantastic!
James S | 8:08 a.m. March 30, 2009
Beck speaks the truth. Obama is dangerous. Companies being taken over. Socialized medicine, Public school indoctrination. Unions that have dictatorial polies (Card Check) National banks, More welfare and food stamps. Raise taxes on everyone. It feels like the beginning of Nazi Germany in the 30's.

GLEN IS THE SOUL OF THE UNITED STATES!! THANKS GLEN

Zulu... you are the embodiment of one who is fundamentally uninformed and bigoted. You have absolutely no logical argument to put forth so you resort to your default strategy... Attack those that are lucent in order to cover for your ignorance and darkness. Good Job, Zulu. Mission accomplished. Sorry that you have convinced no one, however.

Glenn Becks show is un-American. Glenn Beck creates propaganda which has traditionally been considered dangerous.
The Merriam-Webster dictionary definition of propaganda is the spreading of ideas, information, or rumor for the purpose of helping or injuring an institution, a cause, or a person & ideas, facts, or allegations spread deliberately to further one's cause or to damage an opposing cause ; also : a public action having such an effect.
The Obama Deception | 8:10 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn Beck works for the corporate elite and is bending the truth and misleading people. Now he is going to try to tell you that there are no FEMA camps by having an allegedly unbiased journalist do a report on it and debunking it, when there is plenty of evidence to the contrary. Watch "The Obama Deception" for free on google video and you'll get it....I hope.
liz canada | 8:10 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glennm Beck is liked because he truly loves his country! Obama on the other hand is in love with himself. He act's like a rock star. Even Obama supporters must think "what is he doing with our country" I am a canadian. I hate to see America turn into a socialist country.Wake up America!!!
Conservative Democrate | 8:11 a.m. March 30, 2009
I used to watch Glenn Beck until all the while claiming to be independent suddenly was a full fledge GOP supporting Sarah Palin as the next great hope of American. That's when I stopped watching. He is playing on fear (GOP strategy) to gather the masses. He's as bad as Jim Jones. Really people get a grip the guy's a loon.
Bubba the Cat's Friend | 8:11 a.m. March 30, 2009
He's like George Washington with a brass clown nose. Look out when he takes the nose off and uses it as a brass knuckle on un-American ideas like socialism and facism.
aagh | 8:11 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn Beck is an over the top buffoon. This is why Fox hired him, its television and its theatre. Beck is the same as Cramer, Hannity, Olbermann, just another yammering twit.
Anonymous | 8:12 a.m. March 30, 2009
Beck, is a ticking time bomb. He will relapse, and implode on air one of these days.
Richard Schroder | 8:12 a.m. March 30, 2009
Since He is a Mormon he should keep his pro Mormon comments views off the airways.

I'll never understand the Liberal thought process. I can understand those that work the system for their own selfish goals-the bureaucrats and the welfare recipients. But why in the world do hardworking individuals vote Democrat at the polls? Democrats only want to tax and grow government. They want to control you and take away your rights so you can never fight back. They don't care about the economy or our future. Glen Beck speaks the truth. Rational, conservative people listen and agree. If things keep going the way they are, all I can say is "It's all over folks.....you just don't know it yet".
Steve | 8:12 a.m. March 30, 2009
God likes him.
C.J. | 8:13 a.m. March 30, 2009
He is polarizing, that's sort of the point. People, especially those who feel strongly about whatever beliefs they choose to hold, are going to appreciate an impassioned voice moreso than your average PC anchor who dances around the subject but never sinks his teeth in. I compare Beck to Bush: some people love him and what he stands for, some people want to do horrible things to him, but at the end of the day, there's a lot to be said for sticking to your guns. Obama could learn about consistency, that's the one thing his presidency has lacked thus far. He clearly has an agenda in his mind, yet he's hesitant to lay it out, lest those fringe supporters he so desperately worries about lapse into moderation or, gasp, conservatism. It comes down to appeal, and like it or not, Beck appeals to a larger audience than most.
NOT a NewYorker | 8:14 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glen, keep up the good work. The silent MAJORITY will rise. We will fight like we have never fought before. April 15th is just the beginning.

For those that want to harm this country, DON'T TREAD ON ME.

RE: Beck Beck 6:17 am You said "I am a discerning person. Beck got old quickly. Of course, I read, am a world traveler, and have a job where I have to accurate and precise and caring."

Nice try, but you own words betray you.
Flint | 8:15 a.m. March 30, 2009
Strangely inaccurate article. Beck is no leader of the "conservative movement." Not even close. If you have watched his show for more than 5 minutes, you would see that he tends much more towards libertarian than conservative or liberal. He just sounds more "conservative" in the current light of this constant spending chaos and corporate control which the WH believes to be so critical right now. Beck easily finds fault on the true problem that exists in politics today - politicians period. His anger swings to the right and left side of the aile. He often states that there are/were similar problems with Bush and Obama, and the real problem is that we didn't unload Congress and the Senate completely when we changed the top job. He was very popular during the Bush years picking on the same issues.
Phil Serafino | 8:15 a.m. March 30, 2009
Put Beck on in prime time.
Robert McLean | 8:15 a.m. March 30, 2009
I thank God for men like Gingrich, Limbaugh, Hannity, AND Brother Beck. They are funny, intelligent, informed, and almost almost always watchable. It is important to listen and understand that we are in a LOT of Trouble in this country. We have our first completely Communist Administration. It is up to us to defeat them and reclaim our country and restore our freedom. If you read this and are not a registered voter, you are part of the problem. You can become part of the solution. Register to vote, call or write your representative about your concerns, and get active in local politics. This is the way good people in a still partially free country conduct a peaceful revolution that will flush Obama and his group of criminals down the commode of history.
We conservatives have the answers to solve our economic and political problems.

1. Limited government

2. Defeat terrorism, Communism, Fascism, kook Environmentalism, Evolutionism, or other Satanic Religions.
3. Get government out of financing failing businesses.
4. Eliminate illegal immigration.

5. Support the right to life by taxing abortions.
6. Set up a Flat Trade policy.
7. Stop the assault on traditional marriage.

God Bless America.

Hypocrisy | 8:15 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn Beck's 9.12 Project and We Surround Them is a Grassroots movement of Patriotic Americans. Funny how George Soros and President Obama aren't critized for their ACORN and MOVEon.org grassroots movement of socialists.
Colby | 8:16 a.m. March 30, 2009
We love you Glenn!

Third Try
The AP article implies that Beck appeals to a "certain alienated class". In other words, if one believes the Constitution limits the powers of the Federal Gov't. to those explicitly enumerated, and if one is not elated at Newsweek's cover "We're All Socialists Now", or The Atlantic's" The End Of White America, or the wonks at "Foreign Affairs" who are absolutely delighted that the end of American hegemony is at hand, one is a backward looking bigot, clinging to guns and religion! That media/Left ploy will no longer work! We see through it! We have kowtowed out of fear of being called racist and rednecks for the last time! The seed the media plants is that only those with inner insecurity are against the de-Americanization of the USA! No mas!
Bronson | 8:17 a.m. March 30, 2009
It is as simple as turning off your radio and/or changing the tv channel. That is your freedom. But watch out, even that maybe limited soon.

Forget Beck's religious background, religion was eliminated during Obama presidential election. Obama spent 20 yrs. listening to negative white "religion" from Rev. Wright. (Has Wright been to the WHouse yet?)

When Mitt Romney and Eric Cantor run in 2012 religion should not be a concern.

When Palin runs in 2012; children should not be an issue(right, Joe Biden?).

What will be issues are taxes and freedom.

Iraq won't be an issue anymore, the uptick in American deaths in Afghanistan will be an issue...you know, Obama's War (though he wants it to be "America's War").

Obama said it was "Wall Street" vs "Main Street" and now Obama knows that both streets are intimately linked. They can't be separated.

Cap and Tr(tax)ade. While 500 government officials travel to Europe ("european vacation" says press secretary Gibbs)wasting fossil fuel and polluting the planet. And Pelosi travels from D.C. to CA twice a week!

Keep talking Mr. Beck, keep talking.

B. Samuel Davis | 8:17 a.m. March 30, 2009
Maddow, a leftist with minuscule ratings, makes headlines at the Washington Post, Time, Newsweek, the networks and the NY Times. Beck, an independant conservative with enormous ratings, gets an article in the Deseret News, a very fine publication, but noy national media. That's all you need to know about media bias. That's also why we don't allow the mainstream media poison put out by the networks, Hollywood, Times, Newsweek, et als in our home. Boycott the national media! Viva Beck!
I love Glenn | 8:17 a.m. March 30, 2009
Here in PA we were listening to the Glenn Beck program before it was cool (well, it was always cool).

The TV show is a real letdown. Without Stu to be Glenn's foil, and vice versa, the funniest aspect of Glenn's personality is lost on those who only watch him on TV.

Find his show from 9 to Noon Eastern on the AM band and listen to it for a few days. If you're not laughing, you don't appreciate good comic timing and a great comic team. It should be the Glenn and Stu show, because Glenn would be nowhere without Stu.

Stu, you earn your keep. Don't ever quit the show.

Joe Bloe | 8:17 a.m. March 30, 2009
Nice to see comments showing Glenn Beck for what he is... a blowhard who finds it easier and more profitable to criticize, rather than contribute constructively and positively. If he were truly passionate about the things he rants about, perhaps he should run for public office and actually try and make a difference - likely he's too much of a coward to do so....
Don | 8:18 a.m. March 30, 2009
Only the American people can stop us from falling into hopeless socialism/communism....we have just what we voted for, so enjoy....the Constitution was turned upside down 100 years ago....Comrade Obama will see that we are farther down the pike and let's hope it wakes this country up...I doubt it will
JohnnyFreedom | 8:18 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glen believes everything he says because what he says is backed up by the facts. For those of us that have our politically correct blinders taken off, what he says is the obvious. His popularity is due to the fact the the majority of Americans see what is truly going on and are finding someone who is saying what they are thinking and saying themselves. This is not about right and left, as Glenn says (he routinely bashes Republicans as much as he does Democrats), it's about right and wrong.
ralph | 8:18 a.m. March 30, 2009
Thanks Glenn Beck! You have made a difference!
Bill | 8:18 a.m. March 30, 2009
You know that you have striken a nerve when the Sleazy Bill Maher begins attacking you on his worthless show. Next there will be a SNL skit on how crazy Glenn is. Of course this is the same SNL that would not run a skit about the real players in the financial crisis, Frank, Dodd, Reid, and friends. Keep up the good work Glenn because you are driving them crazy!
Knowwhat | 8:18 a.m. March 30, 2009
It is good to see the Obama tyranny is continuing. He now has declared himself King of the U.S. and can replace presidents of public corporations(GM). Why hasn't any of the banking Presidents been fired, oh yeah, the Dems screwed them over with their policies so now they are protecting them. If you don't think Obama has not shredded the constitution far worse that GWB then you don't know history and the knowledge give by Washington, Franklin, Jefferson, Adams etc.
Griz | 8:19 a.m. March 30, 2009
You're right, Sophist!! Glenn is a populist and a small government advocate. When governments are given so much power that they can provide your needs, they will also have accumulated enough power to deny ALL your rights. They are in the process of accumulating this power right now at an alarming rate!! Those who cannot see this are blind and cannot see, even, that they are blind, naked and poverty stricken in mind, heart & spirit. These are the sad elite that always look to man as savior and want to force everyone to be as nihilistic and without hope as they are.
AC | 8:19 a.m. March 30, 2009
Beck is the BEST EVER!
Anonymous | 8:20 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn Beck puts the voice to our concerns about the lows that congress and this president have sunk to. What they are doing to our country is criminal and they claim it is "for the people". HA! They are only looking to line their pockets and increase their power and ensure that they have their power forever.

Fortunately people are finally waking up to what is going on. Glenn Beck nails it. Thank goodness he moved away from toxic CNN.
Gary | 8:20 a.m. March 30, 2009
Glenn is spot on. Although someimes apocolyptic, that is what we need to wake up from our malaise. The Constitution principles are under attack and we must stand up and be counted as defenders of its principles.
Grannie in Phoenix | 8:21 a.m. March 30, 2009
Way to go, Glenn! Keep it up - I never miss your show. If I'm to be away, I set my tape!
145iq | 8:21 a.m. March 30, 2009
You people who use terms neo-con and the like need to learn another term, "useful idiots" , If your an Obama voter you'll have to look it up. Theres a Gallop poll of Obama voters at "how Obama got elected" that shows how misinformed these people really are, anyone remember the woman saying she wouldn't have to worry about filling her gas tank? Your in a country where you can become anything you wish, including being angry at others who have got ahead in life, if that's how you choose to waste your time. Go make your own way and quit looking for someone to blame your problems on.
Maximus | 8:22 a.m. March 30, 2009
Al J: You pathetic fool. What the heck are you talking about?
Mike Benton | 8:23 a.m. March 30, 2009
A few weeks ago Glenn did a perfect "white board" prsentation about how our banking system works...no one who watched it could call him evil or biased, just truthful. We are too much into Democrats and Rebublicans protecting their own, and toolittle into understsnding what is actually going on. Bush would NEVER get away with what Obama is doing.
The real WEM | 8:23 a.m. March 30, 2009
The market place of ideas in our capitalistic society is working as advertised. Fox is drawing huge numbers because conservatives are in the desert renewing themselves and getting back to Reagan conservatism. Glenn Beck is getting huge ratings because he's filling a political void and he will continue to grow in the ratings as Obama reaches further to the left. Conservatives are being whipped up into a frenzy by Obama and his ilk; it's only a matter of time before the anger and his socialist polices erupt and we get back to the ideals our founding fathers envisioned.
