Someone needs to read the thread and know what the discussion is about before chiming in with their rants. You are the first one to even bring up Wayne basketball.

That was Davis' first game and Jordan's Third. Get over it! Davis would have lost to Bingham by 30 if they played Bingham for their first game -with their 23 turnovers and 31% FG's. Chalk it up to first game-itis. You should know about that, You beat 3A Park City(2-11) by a squeaker 2pt! So be careful. Lets look at common opponents this year. Murray, Bingham, and WJ. Jordan was a +4 against these three while Davis was a +23. Davis was ahead of WJ by double digits and played their JV all of the 3rd qtr and early 4th. Same with Murray -they were up 30 and played JV 2nd half. I guess Davis has a little different preseason philosophy than Jordan. I know based on last years record (23 straight wins) that might seem off, but they ran the table in preseason playing juniors half the game. Pre-season is just that its a prelude to THE season. Davis had all but 1 game in preseason on the road. We are not worried, but I'm glad you dont respect us. You can have our ranking, it means absolutely nothing to us
Yeah Davis... | 7:04 p.m. Jan. 14, 2009
You would work Jordan over tomorrow, uh huh. Jordan went 8-3 in the pre-season and owns a head to head win over you on your home floor. You got worked over by West Jordan too, a team that Jordan just barely beat. And "Bingham worked you".... uh Jordan and Bingham were tied in the 4th quarter and Jordan played terrible.

There is no question that Davis is the best team up north, but that isn't saying much. That region 1 is a complete joke! It will be fun watching you send another 7-14 team to the state tourney for a one and done trip.

Just for kicks, do me a favor and go look at which region has the single worst state tourney record in the last 3-4 years. Come to think of it, I will save you the hassle since your Darts play in that region.

skyline is #1 even though they are missing 2 starters

No doubt region 1 is terrible this year. But the Darts are always a powerhouse in basketball, they have one of the best traditions in the state. If you say to yourself truly that the Darts don't make you worry, then you are lying to yourself.

I watched the Morgan Bear River Game and BR is for real. I am not sure where they should be Ranked, but it should be High. That Team shares the Ball better than any Team I have watched this Season or maybe ever. If Coach Wiscombe would play Henroid more the Trojans could make some noise, but he has to sit most of the Game for a unknown reason that I would like coach Wiscombe to Explain to us Morgan Fans. I don't see anyone beating BR this Season and they should take the State Title unless someone gets Hurt or they have a horrible night shooting the ball. Henroid or Dugan wichever you want to call him is a Great player that could have a Double - Double every Game if given the chance. Coach Wiscombe needs to Re-evaluate who he plays and Morgan could be the Second Place Team from Region 11.

Says 4a is a 2 team race isn't smart.. Timpview beat Orem and they lost to mc by 2.( shot 35 %) timpview is up there. Mt view will be there.. And bountiful will be right there also
Re: Whoever | 7:56 a.m. Jan. 15, 2009
Yeah, that is a good point... Yeah lets play the games. All the trash talk, which is mostly from the fans is ridiculous. Play the games, and then when there are actual results, then crow about your dominance.

Some of the teams that have been impressive to me so far, based on results: Provo, LP, Skyline, and BR (btw they beat Timpview).

Finally, to whoever said BR is in Tremonton, there are some of us, some from SLC, some sportswriters that know that BR is actually in Garland, just over the city boundaries of Tremonton.

Look at the brackets on UHSAA. Last year Region 1 was the only region to advance 3 teams into the second round. In the last three years Davis has played in 7 tournament games to Jordan's 2. From 05/06 season through today -not counting state tourney games, Davis is 64-8 compared to Jordan at 38-35.I didn't want to go recent history on you but you brought that up. Davis owned you this past summer as well. You probably think your football team is better than ours right? Wrong. Well, against common opponents(5 teams) Davis was +52 in points vs Jordan -3 (55 point difference for all you beetdiggers playing along at home) Jordan 0-2 versus the Region that is "A complete joke". I know it's hard to accept, but hey it is what it is and always will be. Hope to see you in the tournament, if you make it.
Your right | 8:42 a.m. Jan. 15, 2009
Timpview did lose to br. But they had to play without their best player. Scores about 20 a game. And dominates any zone thrown at him.. But I will give them credit cause they did beat them..

Yeah. And I remember back in the mid 70's when, If I remember right, Jordan won by 1 pt in OT. I think you should stay in the NOW! Jordan beat Davis in the last meeting. Case Closed

And the summer head to head was Jordan 2 wins - Davis 1 win.
Say what? | 9:48 a.m. Jan. 15, 2009
Jordan only played 1 team up north in basketball this pre-season. They were 1-0 against Davis, and won on their home floor.

I will be the first to admit that Jordan basketball has been terrible the past few years. That is why Jordan made a coaching change last year, and you are seeing their program regain respectibility under their new coach. And I am also choosing to ignore the fact that we have 8 state championships in basketball because again, it goes back too far in history. All I know is, we beat Davis this year. So what else do you want to argue about? We have a better record than you do, and we beat you. And bringing up summer ball? Go ask the Davis boys how badly Jordan beat them last spring at Copper Hills without two of their current starters! Go ahead, ask them! (They will remember it well!)

It's pretty simple Davis! Better current record, head to head results. Go Diggers!

You are right. Bear River High is a foot across the Tremonton City boundary and has a Garland mailing address.

All I'm saying is rankings don't mean anything. Let your game talk for you.

I'll give Jordan all the credit for beating Davis, but you people get on these boards and feel you have to defend your team by rankings.

I don't care where Davis is ranked right now. All that matters is where they are come tournament time.

You all sound a little too paranoid to me.
Why? | 3:22 p.m. Jan. 15, 2009
Why isn't South Sevier ranked? Has anyone seen them play? I bet they could give Bear River a run for their money. You might want to have someone look at South Sevier. They are probably the most athletic team in state at the 2A level. Don't overlook the 2A teams. There are some really good teams at that level.

the bears of bear river are a good team but i dont think they will go undefeated. Dont get me wrong all the kids in Region 11 have played against each other since they were in 4th grade. logan and morgan have the potential to be great but some of the kids on both teams are nursing some injuries right now and anything can happen in state. Good luck to all of those teams.
