Why is it still being investigated? He, according to the report, was obviously trying to break in. You should have ever right to protect your home from invasion. Lets quit stretching so hard to protect criminals. This world would be a lot better off if more home invaders were shot (and they would never invade another home again).

So why did they arrest the shooter? A violent ex-husband tries to break into the woman's home, it sounds like a justified shooting to me. Either the DN doesn't have the full story, or they should let the shooter go free.

but it sound like the husband just didn't want to give up. I do believe it was self defense its to bad for all that were involved. He would have never let her be. sound like she had had enough.

As a person who personally knows Kit (Mr. GiKiu), we know he would never hurt anyone, or anything. The only reason he is being held, (from what I gather), is that he works out of state, and does not currently have a permanent Utah address. Kit is a fine person, and the kind of man who would defend an innocent victim of domestic violence. If he is not released soon and cleared, it will be a serious mistake, and a loss for all of us. Perpetrators of domestic violence need to be handled with a firm hand. Twisted by their own sense of right and wrong. They need to be re-educated, and we need to be completely protected from them.

Since IT WAS HER HOME, I think that she should have been the one responsible for defending her home. Come on woman, you don't need a man to do everything for you.
