Sounds like somebody's picking a town/gown fight in a big way. Sometimes when you're a confrontational jerk, you need to be treated like a confrontational jerk, even if you're a cop!

It's about time the police took an interest in the illegal campus activity instead of leaving it to the campus to handle. You wouldn't believe what my daughter had to put up with last year - neither the police nor the college were interested in the drugs or underage drinking she reported.

I always think it is a good idea to threaten students, to treat all students with disdain, to marginlize and terrorize them as much as possible. There are a few rotten apples in every grove, but this memo is juvenile and will make enemies of those who may have enlisted to help. What a stupid, irrational and ineffectual thing to do - he should be afraid, very afraid, I think he's losing his mind. Bye bye dude.

Well... mister 'hit and run' george daines shoots out a letter, resigns and leaves town on vacation, all in one day. i still remember when he was teaching a RE licensing class to make a little money on the side (his law practice not doing so well-he being 'mister personality' and all-LOL) and he went off on a student because they offered their opinion on something. And then there was the time he failed to appear in court for a hearing, allowing a default judgement to be entered, even though he was working off a prepaid retainer, because he heard from someone that his defendent had moved. ahhhh yes. the smell of george daines.

The above is my personal direct experience with GD. What appropriate initials btw.

Somehow he reminds me of Sheldon in Big Bang Theory. Or would it be Leonard? or maybe Sylar.

The hockey team better watch out. There has always been sketchy stuff over there, especially this year. I hope they got the memo.

I really wish they would not punish the entire greek system for a few stupid, irresponsible people who committed (i'll fairly sure, knowing the greek system) unsanctioned hazing acts. Cache Valley has been looking for a way to close the greek system down for a very long time. I don't understand why they would exploit a family's tragedy to get their own needs met.

George daines has never taught a RE licensing class or missed a court date. I know the person you are talking about and you have got George confused with someone else of the same last name.
