Another angle: Collie makes it sound like football is the only thing here at BYU. Someday you will be just another fat ex football player. Will you have an education or a degree? The knowledge you gain in this life is the only thing you take with you to the other side not a football and your pads. Trying thinking with your intellect. Get your priorities right.
might as well leave | 10:30 a.m. Jan. 13, 2009
Collie might as well leave because the 09 cougar season is going to be a bust... probably a 6-6 season at best and then risking possible injury on top of that is not a good move. Leaving for the NFL while you are healthy is the best thing to do even though it is going to be tough for Collie to make a team. His NFL combine performance will weigh heavy on where he will be drafted. If Collie can run a consistant 4.5 40 then I would expect him to be drafted possibly as high as the third or forth round which gives him a decent chance to make a team. If he runs anything slower than a 4.5 40 he can kiss his NFL dreams good-bye.

I really did not like Collie's personality. I do not like the Y's football team. That said, nobody can complain about Collie's work ethic and playing ability.

I wish him the best. It is trully good news for the Utes.

You know i think its great the Collie is going to leave. He was an amazing player and i will miss watching him. But seriously people why are you bashing him for leaving? He deserves to go and i do wish him the best of luck. He was a great leader of the team. I think Jacobson will have a really good season and we will get some good receivers in so I'm really am not to worried about next years receiver core. im more worried about offense of line (but im sure they will do fine) and the defense. But Congrats Collie and good luck next year.

This is just another example of BYU freaks! Keep up the good work, elders! Go and work on Sunday! There is a reason why people think things are different in Utah county. And, after reading these posts, they will know exactly why everybody does. Now, we will have somebody come on here and give us the "peculiar people" line. YOu are right-you are peculiar. Thats not in a good light either, in case you didnt know. BYU: "where the campus is our world!" Nice going zoobies!
