If this is how the March of Dimes utilizes their time, $$, and resources, I won't be donating anytime soon. In this day and age, this seems to me a collosal waste of time, energy, and resources.

I was a premie and I think this gives a lot of insight into how premies are handled. Thanks!

This program is not a collosal waste of time, but rather gives good insight into what preemies actually go through every day of their lives, and emphasizes how big of an impact any type of stimulus can have on their development. While having the best of intentions, many caregivers may forget that the stimulus these little ones endure throughout these developmentally crucial days in the NICU can be traumatic for them. Being able to realize this from the preemie point of view seems like a good idea to instill or reiterate the necessary sensitivity one needs when handling the preemie. To the person who thinks it's a waste of time...what a shame.

No. Utah sees a major earthquake every 350 years. Last one? 350 years ago.
