Mr. Redford is a disgrace to the culture of Utah. He is also a closet communist and enviromental hypocrite!
He needs to dance more gracefully into the sunset and stop trying to be some kind of new age religious shamanist guru.
He should move this festival to Aspen where his loyal Hollywood friends hang out.
Redford is a disgrace to Utah, and I hear that he doesn't like neighbors living close to his home in Sundance, What a hypocrite!
Park City can launch its own festival or find other activities that would bring in revenue during the winter instead of funding this festival which caters to the Hollywood elite.
It has good theatre going, and maybe a series like they have in St. George during the summer months would bring a lot more people in, or how about a winter arts festival!
We don't need all of the Hollywood set and their limousines and pricey outfits.
I did not hear anything about a boycott - wonder how that is going - anyone know?
The festival brings a lot of money to Utah so those asking for it to leave should expect the results that go with that. It also brings exposure to Utah and that value of that can't be under-estimated.
I hear the Queer Lounge will be running in park City again this year so I don't think the boycott happened.
And, this festival is extremely helpful to many, many unknown actors, directors, cinematographers and so on. To say it is all about stars and limos is absurd. Go ride the bus up there and chat with people from all over the country and world who love film.
And Redford is no communist. I wish people wouldn't pass out abusive labels around here whenever somebody doesn't have the same political viewpoint as they have. It is tempting to tell that poster in particular to grow up, but I will hold off.
