Enough about Miles

Let's talk about the Jazz now. Everyone know that Millsap is a better value than Boozer.

The real question is do you trade Boozer away now or role with this team for the Playoff this year
This team with Boozer, Okur and Millsap would be like Elton Brand going to the Hornets with West and Chandler.

Do not say the Jazz can not trade Boozer because they can. Boozer is very easy to trade. They can trade Boozer to any team that is willing to pay the Luxury Tax and is a competitive team. The Jazz would require an expiring contract so they could resign Millsap.

For example Portland would trade Przybilla, Lefrenz and Diogu and a 1st round pick for Boozer Harpring and Collins in a heartbeat. They have money to resign Boozer for 6 years starting at 15 million a year. Lefrenz and Diogu comes off the books and the Jazz get a very good center, a first round pick and plenty of money to sign Millsap.

Cleveland would trade Szczerbiak, Varejao and 1st round picks for Boozer and Harpring.

The questions is should the Jazz do this or Role this playoffs?

Dude, if we could get Pryzbilla I would do that deal in a heartbeat. but I don't think there is any way that would happen, and I don't really like the idea of Boozer playing for a division rival.

I definately wouldn't make the deal with Cleveland even if they would take Boozer back.

I have been of the opinion that we roll with it and see what this Jazz team can do with Boozer in the lineup.

I did float an idea yesterday though that I thought was interesting, Boozer for Gerald Wallace. Look at the Comments for the article "Jazz Blowout Pauls Hornets" from last night and you can see why I thought that might work.

I responded but it won't work - Wallace make too much money for what the Jazz wants.
Mr. Milsap to you... | 4:33 p.m. Jan. 9, 2009
I am a little puzzled by all the contention regarding Miles. His stats are favorable, even a little bit respectable, relative to his peers in Jazz uniform. He is in top three in 3pt fg%, has the best fg% amongst the 1-2-3's, has low turnovers, decent ft%, rebounds, steals, etc.

He is no Kobe, Lebron, D-Wade, Melo, Ginobli, Roy, Pierce, Allen, Howard, Richardson, McGrady, Maggette, Jackson, Gordon, or any other great or pretty darn good 2/3, but Sloan starts him when he is healthy. What more can we call say? That is, of course, unless you hate Sloan, then I simply have to ignore you with a smile and small resigned shake of the head.

Please don't even post if you fall into that population, as you have no credibility and your arguments are baseless. I understand that is just an opinion, but one backed up by 1000+ wins. Saying Sloan is not a good coach is like saying Bill Gates is weak in business and technology.

I really feel like the Jazz will dominate when they get Boozer back. I've had my gripes about his, but it's mostly because of frustration with all the Jazz injuries this year. We still haven't seen what the Jazz can do with a full team.

The Jazz seem bend on keeping Boozer and Millsap at the end of the year. It seems impossible from where I sit, but maybe they've got a plan. Maybe they wanna trade AK for some expiring contracts, let Korver walk... and boom you've got some money to pay them both. The Jazz will be nasty when we have Boozer, Millsap, and Okur together.

I just love Millsap and the way he plays. I am unconvinced that Boozer adds anything to this team. Boozer underperforms, Millsap over-achieves. Millsap is a better rebounder, and I think he is a better scorer too.

Trade Boozer and Miles, start Millsap, and get a dominating big guy inside. This team doesn't need too many pieces to be the best team in the NBA, just one or two more pieces and these guys go all the way.
