Utah lands will be opened for oil-shale development

I thought the whole issue with extracting oil from shale is that it is very costly and is only profitable if oil is trading over $100 per barrel...so if Exxon/Mobile and others are willing to pump money into research for viable methods of extraction, it must mean the days of $50 oil are to be very short lived. Hold off on buying those basement priced SUV's!!
