Senate vote Sunday on land bills?

All of the things mentioned in the article are fine and dandy. However, what
the article fails to mention is that Title II, Subtitle A of this bill would
statutorily codify the National Landscape Conservation System (which was created
in the last days of the Clinton administration) within the Bureau of Land
Management. Doing so would threaten recreation, public access, grazing, mining,
energy development and other multiple uses of public lands. Thus, the reason
for opposition. Remove this provision and it flies through.
