I am a BYU alumnus who can't get all of my kids to a church school. One was allowed into BYU-I on probationary status, met that probation and graduated last term. He lost a term when he was called to Spain on a mission, but he came back with the attitude that he would work within the system despite its inflexibility. I would encourage the church to continue to maximize enrollment at church universities. I have worked at 7 other universities and find the spirit and education prevailing within the BYU system far superior to any in which I have worked. Remember, the board of trustees are working under inspiration. I would encourage parents and students to work within the changes, not to fight it.

My son was looking forward to playing baseball but was assigned the Winter/Spring track when it's not even offered. He is VERY unhappy about this as their baseball program was the silver lining for BYU-I after not getting into his first choice, BYU Provo. He also turns 19 in November but will have to wait until after July to go.

I am finally graduating from BYUI! It has been a great school, and there are so many people here now!
